Lately I’m thinking…

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! Thought I would go with a throwback pic as we haven’t had this years halloween yet (it’s tomorrow). This was easily the most gadget appropriate picture of the nose. You guys have fun out there and don’t forget to have your parents check your candy before you eat it. Also Heather don’t forget that you give me all your candy.

This is really interesting…

A guy at work brought in a pinata filled with a pretty solid candy lineup: mini reeses peanut butter cups (for some reason the mini ones are SO much better than the normal ones. It’s amazing actually, maybe I’ll write more about it one day), teddy grahams, take 5, kit kat, gushers, stickers (non-edible) and homemade sugar cookies. On a side note i went to lunch with the company and they spent the ENTIRE time talking about superheros, and something about how it’s impossible for wolverine or zombies or something to be real because they don’t put in as much energy as they use…or something. I don’t know, i mean i was pretty lost

Lately I’m thinking…

Hey remember in college when we used to buy stroh’s beer sometimes and they either came in 15 or 30 packs? that’s weird

Currently watching…

Another great thursday night TV lineup – 30 rock is frickin hilarious. “good gosh Liz Lemon your breath is horrible, when on earth did you find time to eat a used diaper you found on the beach?”  “San Francicso? I asked you to find an actor from middle America—a real person. You’re not going to find him in the People’s Gaypublic of Drugifornia.”

This is really interesting…

The other day I was peacefully watching sports upstairs, and Steph kept yelling from downstairs “I want Seeley to pull me, can you come help?” I tried explaining that Seeley doesn’t even like walking across the room unless she really wants to but it didn’t help. So Steph kept saying “Help me hook her up”. Well i looked over the railing and there was Steph, sitting on a pillow with a rope. Uhhh needless to say Seeley didn’t pull her and putting a rope around her neck probably isn’t the way to go anyway.

Lately I’m thinking…

Screw segways, I want one of those new police 3-wheeler machine things (sorry the picture is a little blurry i was walking and trying to hit the light) Birthday present here we come!

Current Status…

10! Happy Thursday International Day of Awesomeness everyone! After work I get to hang out with mikey, enjoy a delicious dinner and maybe a cocktail or two

Shout out to…

Nebel who had the first gadget update of the day – wow! Also to Kevin for killing it on top chef last night and the phillies for beating the yankees.

We watched the first part of the JFK show that nebel referenced for about 2 weeks on his gadget (nice update today though!) and then as i was flipping around channels afterwards we landed on inside the nba. I took a picture because Steph almost had a heart attack she was so “upset” about their studio layout. I mean the flowers, straw?, and basketballs do look pretty funny arranged like that. On a side note, Charles Barkley is awesome

This is really interesting…

I don’t know if anyone uses google maps, but since our company just switched to google from exchance I do, and I just found out you can import calendars from sports teams. So i currently have every CAT and UW fooball game on my calendar. It’s pretty sweet

Lately I’m thinking…

This week is chugging right along. Steph was going to cook a big delicious dinner tonight, but then realized she has board meetings (or as i say, bored meeting hahahahahha) so instead i’m on my own with no frozen pizzas and no car. Besides that though, Mikey is here tomorrow, Friday I can’t remember actually and then Saturday it’s Halloween! Beep Bop

This is really interesting…

I’m starting a new promotion (similar to the text one Britt rigs every week to give away husky tickets to everyone except moopie and I) – called Gadget Reader of the Week!!! All you have to do is send an email to blade.imsande@gmail.com with the code “PIZZA” in the subject line and you’re entered. Winners win a feature in the Daylight Savings Times as well as a cocktail. Contest ends Sunday, November 1st at 11:59 PM, you only need to enter once

The Soapbox:

I’m actually being serious about the contest – good luck!

Wild Russia on animal planet. wow, russia is seriously crazy, does everyone realize how big it is? It takes up 1/8 of the planet and has 11 time zones. I would almost venture far enough to say it’s bigger than the sun. Anyways I must be a sucker for TV shows because now i want to move there instead of alaska. Seeley had her nose up against the TV when they were showing wolves. Seeley is a predator.

This is really interesting…

Steph got 3 things in the mail yesterday, including 2 books (i just found out she’s in TWO book clubs because work just started one, that’s seriously out of control, i don’t even know what to say or what to tell my friends when they ask where she’s at) and an exercise ball, or as I like to call them for short “a toy you play on for about week, and then regardless if you have an actual head injury or just came close to one by falling off you put it outside or in storage where it sits for the rest of eternity” BTW our neighbor in the back has 3 different sized exercise balls in their yard getting rained on as we speak

Lately I’m thinking…

That segwey’s must be really cheap by now, seeing as how nobody uses them and they there the biggest invention dissapointment of all time. Well i guess i was wrong, i just checked and they’re still between 3,000 – 7,000 dollars! what! I was hoping to casually pick one up for $200 and start riding it around.

This is really interesting…

seriously click here to see how big russia is, i can’t get over it. I mean it borders Finland and almost stretches to Alaska, and the country is never totall dark because as the sun goes down in the west it’s already coming up in the east.

Happy Halloween Week everyone

Lately I’m thinking…

Goodbye summer, hello fall/rain. nature

Lately I’m thinking…

Here’s my summary/thoughts of college football last weekend. Oh that’s right I forgot, I don’t want to talk about it. At least the MSU-psu game is in 2 weeks, and by then we should be able to field a kicker. the oregon-usc game should be fun to watch too, especially if i’m sitting in my halloween costume enjoying a few cocktails while enjoying a stress free day of a UW bye.

This is really interesting…

I “went to bed” at 7:30 PM Saturday night….

Shout out to…

The Klitz’s for a fun weekend and dinner at via tribunali saturday night. I think overall we were better behaved there than last time, although the waitress did immediately say she remembered us from last time, which is usually a pretty good sign.

The Soapbox:

Hey at least the gadget can’t be any worse tomorrow….right?

This is really interesting…

(disclaimer this picture is from like 3 weeks ago…stay with me) Joe and I were down in the 3rd and deciding ladder ball game, so we decided to have a discussion in the “circle of trust” to discuss it. First of all, I think the circle of trust was too small. Second of all, notice in this picture you can see that I have a full drink, and Jakers is in the background up to mischief about ready to pull the hose. Click here to see what happened. Oh and don’t worry, the good guys won the game in a thriller.

Currently watching…

Great lineup last night – I turned on the angels game just to watch the yankees score 6 in a row, which unecessarily stressed me out. So i switched to the football game to see stupid unc beating florida state by 3 scores (that also probably shouldn’t bother me, but it did). Well by the end of the night the angels one, florida state won, the office was actually funny and 30 rock was good. BEEP BOP BOOP

Shout out to…

Mr Gyro. When I went in I was worried they would have forgot my name and my order since i hadn’t been there for months. Sammy looked at me, paused for a minute and then said, “Blade, I was going to pretend like i didn’t know you since you haven’t come in for so long, but I couldn’t do it. You having the regular?” I seriously started fist pumping. I then asked him about the signed Carleson picture he had (seahawks tight end) and he said he comes in there all the time and is kind of taking my spot, he also wondered why he never sees me at kells anymore. Well listen up people – i’m not too old to go to kells and i’m definitely not going to be replaced at Mr Gyro by a profesional football player. I’m making a come back! Watch out!

This is really interesting…

I’m super excited/anxious about the washington/oregon football game tomorrow. I’m predicting a husky upset though at home over a heavily favored oregon team. On a side note i’ve spent the last 2 days trying to figure out if hate oregon or the university of montana more. I think it’s a crappy toss up really. On another side note the whole klitz family is coming tonight so i’m pretty excited about that.

The Soapbox:

Quick Notes: Go Huskies and Go Cats! My next 3 Saturdays are: oregon/husky game, halloween, montana state portland trip! Buri showed me this random guys bio page and his quote on it was “For me, food is like gasoline. I don’t like stopping to fill up the tank, but I do it to keep the engine running” Uh….okay pyshco. Steph saw sark at the uw bookstore today. SEE YOU AT THE TAILGATES! Have a fun and safe weekend everyone!!!

I saw “Alaskan State Troopers” on the national geographic channel last night. First of all, i want to be an alaskan state trooper, fo real. Second of all, my favorite part of the narrative was “Alaska is one of the most isolated states in the country”. Uh ya, I’d definitely put it in the top 2

This article about a guy in Minnesota who got a DWI for running his “lazy boy” into a parked car on the way home from the bar. Wow, I hope this guy didn’t ruin motorized lazy boys for the rest of us!

Current Status…

10! It’s Thursday, and I’m getting my haircut tonight which means I get Mr. Gyro! Holler. There’s also thursday NBC on tonight, college football, and playoff baseball. playoffs!?

This is really interesting…

TODAY IS INTERNATIONAL CAPS LOCK DAY! I ORIGINALLY HAD MY WHOLE GADGET IN CAPS, THEN DID A PREVIEW AND REALIZED IT WAS WAY OVER THE TOP AND I FELT BAD FOR MY READER(S). I REALIZED THERE WAS NOTHING I COULD DO THOUGH INSTEAD OF RE-WRITE IT, SO I DECIDED TO JUST PUBLISH IT ANYWAY. WELL THEN I FRICKIN LOST MY UPDATE – WHICH IS FRUSTRATING BUT IT AT LEAST GAVE ME A SECOND CHANCE TO EASE UP ON THE CAPS. I DON’T KNOW WHAT WE’RE YELLING ABOUT!

The Soapbox:

Steph asked me to print this in today’s issue of the Daylight Savings Times: “i want everyone to know that i really appreciate you letting me drive the car, and i acknowledge it’s a huge sacrifice on your part, and that it’s super nice of you (but you also win b/c your payment is less)”. As you can see from this picture (not counting joe’s face) the Jeep goes WAY over 59 miles per hour.

I’m going home to do improvement…home improvement if you will. They don’t call me the sand man for nothing.

Lately I’m thinking…

i’m really busy at work and it’s late, so sorry about the lame gadget update. BAM THEY CALL MY RYHMENOCERIS, MY LYRICS ARE BOTTOMLESS……..(pause)………(pause)…….

Steph added a couple more things to her blog – in my opinion she has a lot of nerve talking smack about the car that’s she’s putting thousands of miles onto for a super cheap payment, while she saves up a bunch money. (note, the pizza one still makes me hungry)

This is really interesting…

I had a pretty bizarre dream last night involving a few gadget readers – there’s a description in the soapbox in case you’re bored with reality

The Soapbox:

A group of us were walking from my house in billings to Mitch’s (old) house on ave F (ave F represent!). anyway we were all laughing goofing around and for some reason i decided to fling annie over my shoulder as we were crossing 12th ave. Then this car came speeding through the intersection and somehow missed me, but hit annie’s head as well as a car in front of them (don’t worry, she was okay). I ran after the car and watched it speed away down parkhill drive, then take a right at 6th avenue (a little ways away). So i got back on ave F and ran to 6th avenue where i took a right and kept running. About the time I got to the broadwater area Terrell Owens was walking the opposite direction as me in the middle of the street. I said, “Hey, T.O., did you see a blue car going really fast this way?”, and he said “yep”. So i kept running down 6th. Then i woke up, possibly because Seeley was literally laying vertically on me with her head on my shoulder.

Check out this giant inflatable balloon with Santa in it. I made steph get in the picture as a reference for how big it is. After I took the picture Steph casually mentioned “there’s a zero percent chance you can get that and put it up in the yard”. It’s not going in our yard steph, it’s going in our living room

Currently reading…

The latest “40 yard dash” by Pat Forde on espn.com. He hands out some midseason awards which includes a nonimation of washington as most dramatic team of the year. By far the best part about the article is him choosing university of montana coach bobby hauck as “Bum” of the half year. classic

This is really interesting…

Steph and I went to napa autoparts yesterday because both brake lights are out in the ol’ liberty. As we were outside examinng the brake lights trying to figure out how on earth we were going to get them off, a couple of employees were working on other cars right next to us, but didn’t offer to help. After trying to read the owners manual for about 5 minutes we decided to just go in and ask. Well apparently we spent too long trying to figure out what the heck was going on….because it had closed 4 minutes earlier.

This is really interesting…

Dominos (btw i haven’t ordered it since college i don’t think, but i might soon) has a deal where one large pizza and “cinna-sticks” are 6 dollars. As a disclaimer they say “limit of 256 per household”. A) where on eath did they come up with that number 2. the pizzas wouldn’t seem very cheap if you spent over $1500 dollars for it C) this would be a great opportunity for maddie and i to try our pizza delivery boat service!

Shout out to…

Joey for the CDs with pictures from nature trip, the dave concert, and his Seattle visit. There are some pretty classic ones, and I now have enought to get me through a couple weeks of gadget updates, which means you guys probably won’t get repeat baby pictures of seeley until November…

Shout out to…

Mikey for the delicious MOD pizza lunch today. I think I see Mikey more than Tanner does, which is crazy seeing as how they live together. Don’t worry tanner, you get to see Rachel more often than I do

This is really interesting…

So yesterday I’m sitting upstairs and Steph lets out this ear piercing scream – i’ve honestly never heard her scream like that. Then she yells again right afterwards. I managed to rush downstairs even though I’m pretty sure i suffered i minor heart attack to see what’s wrong. She says “It was a fly….and it landed on me”. Honestly there could be a 9 foot dragon in the living room holding a dead body and she wouldn’t have screamed as loud. p.s. just to reiterate it was a FLY!

This is really interesting…

Over the weekend I got a couple fantasy football notices that “Carson Palmer (bench) is predicted to outscore Chad Ochocinco (starter)” and i might want to switch them. Uhhh that’s great, but i’m guessing if i played carson palmer at WR he would catch less passes than raiders 1st round pick Darrius Heyward-bay. (zing – sorry mikey) That seems like an alert that ESPN could go ahead and put the 5 minutes worth of time into making sure the people they are suggesting play the same position.

The Soapbox:

The seahawks got obliterated, UW blew the game by leaving not one, but 2 guys open (maybe trying to make the QB think about which wide open guy to throw it to?) for a 50 yard touchdown to win the game with 5 seconds left, and MSU decided to win on a 70 degree day when I wasn’t there instead of losing on a 7 degree day like they did the week before. Maddie is currently the only football player i like. Well and jake locker
