Shout out to…

Mr Nate Weebles and soon to be Mrs. Shana Weebles who got engaged over the weekend!! Also, nice smile and “i love pabst” sticker nate.

Shout out to…

The entire extended Klitz family for a great thanksgiving weekend and to mom for the flowers on the dining room table. I had a wonderful thanksgiving, complete with meals every 2 hours, go karts, crabbing, ping pong, pool, watching sports and enjoy some cocktails. Oh and I got to watch Ryan and Nick get a haircut too. I’m ridiculously excited for Christmas now that I got the taste of vacation and since it’s almost december.

Lately I’m thinking…

They need to do something about showing women’s basketball scores on the ticker during games, maybe make them bright pink or something. I think just about every week I see a score like “Kansas 50, Xavier 58” and have a mini heart attack even though I know they weren’t playing Xavier that day. Then I look over and notice we’re on the NCAAW section instead of NCAAM. Anyways my point is it’s fine to show those scores, but they need to make it way more obvious you’re looking at women’s scores – it’s distracting enough trying to keep track of the ticker and the game actually on at the same time.

This is really interesting…

(not interesting, per usual, but i just thought of it) We stopped at mcdonalds for some hash browns on the way to portland and i asked for a large water. The lady said medium waters were free, but she’d have to charge me for a large. I wanted to say “Uhh I’ll take 50 medium waters then”, but since it was thanksgiving i didn’t. I didn’t drink more than half of it anyway because seeley basically put her paw through the lid at one point, and then I let her drink of it because I thought she was thirsty

Thanksgiving Edition

Shout out to…

The Reader of the Week, Miss Mary McRae! I’ll be thinking about you over the holiday weekend and am super excited to be home with the family over Christmas. You not only win a free cocktail, but also a village inn pizza, which I may or may not take out of the allowance I get for the night. Love you!

Shout out to…

Also a bonus shout out to all the readers of the daylight savings times. I’m thankful you’re my friends and I’m going to pick you up next time I see you. Heather I’ll see you at Christmas for some holiday pizza and tacos.

Lately I’m thinking…

“Buzz I’m going through all your stuff, you better come out and pound me”. Yep, Home Alone season starts tomorrow! I’ll be taking the dvd and my kansas snuggie with me to the Klitz residence – who wants to hang out? “Ma’am, I’m eight years old. You think I would be here alone? I don’t think so.”

This is really interesting…

I just seriously made up a joke – i’m going to try it out here – Q: How do you cook a parrot? A: Make sure you pre-parrot first with glaze and stuffing. Get it? “prepare it” HAHHA personally i’ve laughed out loud 3 times in a row

The Soapbox:

Have a safe and fun thanksgiving everyone! (RHYME ALERT bee boo bee boo) Wow who knew, all i had to do (rhyme) was switch the safe and fun around and i’d have a rhyme every time (rhyme).   Go Huskies

This is really interesting…

I went from about 1% to 15% on doing the Snow-Joke this year. Once I started typing my master plan out I realized it was a great, foolproof plan. Basically if I do it, I’m going to shoot for a worse time than last year so I don’t feel like I have to improve on it. I’m also not going to really train, that way I still get a Seeley Lake trip out of it but without ruining all the weekends leading up to it by exercising. Brilliant! So i guess i’m training right now, just by considering it.  I’ll have more info on that later.

Speaking of Seeley Lake, I finally put together a slide show on Whrrl of our nature trip….from about 4 months ago. Click here to see it. nature. On a seeley lake side note, that schnabble guy seems like one of the biggest idiots on the planet

Shout out to…

Dre on her birthday! I’m looking forward to the Dre & Steph birthday bash at Kells coming up soon. Happy Birthday smelly pants

Lately I’m thinking…

Short week so reader of the week will be announced tomorrow! Buckle up. Also UW really better dominate the apple cup this weekend, check the soapbox for some 2009 wazzu stats – nothing personal wazzu fans – they’re just some crazy numbers.

The Soapbox:

So obviously wazzu isn’t having a very good year, but some of these stats are simply stunning: they’ve been outscored 173-6 in the first quarter. Oregon returned an interception against them 24 yards – the leading receiver for wazzu had 12 yards. Oregon got 4 1st downs going for it on 4th down against wazzu – wazzu had 4 first downs total. the wazzu punter rushed for 15 yards on a fake against against ASU. the rest of the team had -39 yards rushing. Against UCLA, 2 of the 4 leading recievers from the wazzu QB played for ucla. arizona had 0 punts and 0 turnovers the entire game – arizona fumbled or punted on their first 10 possessions. wazzu has never led in regulation, but managed to win a game in overtime.

Well looks like the better team lost for about the 6th year in a row. I attended a bar in Renton, WA this year – the class president that beat out Joey and I’s “we have a good idea campaign” was there along with a few people who I apparently saw at the portland game 3 years ago. CATS! Oh and just as a reminder, at one point the game was tied 2-2!

This is really interesting…

Tanner drunk dialed me saturday night and when I answered he couldn’t believe I actually answered and he didn’t get a voicemail. Well that’s probably because it was about 8:15 PM. I think his exact words were “Blade if i wanted to talk I would have called you on a tuesday”

This is really interesting…

Maybe more people have already put this together, but do you realize the Eagles have players that are named “Lesean” and “Desean” – on the same team! Simply stunning

This article about Galileo’s 2 fingers and 1 tooth being sold at an auction. I mean I think it’s already weird enough that people are bidding on fingers and a tooth in a jar, but the craziest thing is they didn’t even know it was galileo’s until later! At one point they were simply just bidding on 2 random fingers and a tooth! Am I reading that wrong? I’m calling the police

The Soapbox:

Sounds like a complete and total disaster at the buckhorn lodge this weekend. I’m proud of you guys, and kind of relieved I wasn’t there. On a side note, Steph did say it was the “blind leading the blind” when she picked up miller and I saturday afternoon.

Shout out to…

The new Reader of the Week – Jon “JB” Brown!! Jon is married to the lovely Stacie Brown who it appears might have failed to change her maiden name, we might never know. JB is a fellow ‘how i met your mother’ fan and is rooting for a big Bobcat victory this weekend – Congrats on your free cocktail and instant fame

This is really interesting…

Seems like times they are a changing. I used to attend the CAT-griz games in person, then when i moved I would go to sluggers with a bunch of people at like 9 in the morning. Now it seems nobody I know is going to sluggers, so I’m probably going to a bobcat satellite bar in Renton with…..2 of my mom’s friends – at least 1 of whom can probably party harder than me. Oh well, I might just wear the bobcat suit there, tie one one and call it a day

This is really interesting…

We’re basically putting Seeley through private school

Shout out to…

Everyone attending the game tomorrow and everyone watching it on TV – I hope to be in touch. Temporary anti-shout out to mitch who is on his way to cabo….jerk. You’re going to be the tannest guy at the village inn buffet of christmas!

The Soapbox:

Have a fun and safe weekend everyone!! Go Cats!! RARRR!

Lately I’m thinking…

CATS!

This is really interesting…

This is going to be a crappy and short update, sorry. There’s a lot of stuff going on right now and i can’t really focus. Tomorrow is Friday though which also means a new reader of the week! So you’ve all got that going for you…

This is really interesting…

We were in a meeting from 9:30 – 12:30 this morning. With about an hour left i started to become pretty disintersted, and then got really tired. Then as it came to and end I kind of got a sugar low, so I walked to Qdoba to get something to eat and seriously almost fell asleep while walking outside. Then once i got there and sat down i felt like i was hammered, prety weird. Anyways now i’m back to “normal” but there’s a lot of stuff going on still

This is really interesting…

The sun will come out, tomorrow, bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow, there’ll be sun……..PYSCH NOT YA RIGHT

The other night we were going to have chicken and potatoes for dinner, but steph took the chicken out pretty late and by the time dinner was about to roll around she was “worried about our health if we ate the chicken”. So instead she made me wait upstairs while she improvised, apparently making the classic italian-asian-irish dish: pizza, potatoes and pot stickers. well, she pulled it off anyway

Well Kansas didn’t look very sharp last night, but at least they got the win. I actually forgot how much I don’t enjoy watching college basketball and how much it stresses me out. I get nervous watching high school teams I’ve never even heard of, let alone teams i’m rooting for. I liked the quote from the new 1st year memphis coach Pastner after the game: “I can tell you this for sure: I’m 32 but I’m getting out at 35. I don’t know how these coaches coach until they’re 70. It’s unbelievable.”

I’m sure a couple of you read earlier in the week that scientists confirmed they found water on the moon. Well in case you were wondering how we might get it – how about a SPACE ELEVATOR! Click the link son

This is really interesting…

(not) – there’s a website for my student loans that I need to go to about twice a year. Every time I go to log in I can’t remember the password, so it makes me reset it. Only for some completely ridiculous reason, it won’t let me use a password i’ve ever used before (which is all the passwords i know), so each time i have to make up something completely new which i’ll obviously forget by the next time i go there. So it’s back through the process again…every…single…time – make up a new completely random password, forget it, rinse and repeat

Shout out to…

Ryan Klitz for my Kansas snuggie. It’s honestly changing my life – although I don’t think it’s for better. The other day i was lying with it on and couldn’t think of a single reason why i would ever leave the house. Even going to work is hard knowing that it’s waiting just upstairs. Jakers, that’s awesome you got a custom bobcat one – good luck doing stuff

This is really interesting…

I had a big BBQ meal for lunch today and was really full by the time I was done. But as I walked into the kitchen to throw my stuff away I noticed cookies from specialties had magically appeared, so I ate a snickerdoodle the size of my head. Now i really don’t feel so good.

Currently watching…

24 hours of college basketball on ESPN. It kicked off at midnight eastern last night with cal state northridge beating stupid ucla in double overtime and kept rolling with a game in hawaii and then a 6AM tip off for two schools on the east coast – wow – have fun tailgaiting for that one. Anyway Kansas plays memphis tonight as it continues, i will be upstairs in the mentioned snuggie if anyone wants to come up.

Jakers good call on the ninja article, we’re really on the same page. Click here for those who haven’t read it yet. I’m happy to annouce that it was not me that was impaled for everyone out there that was worried.

The Soapbox:

Holzer a new TV huh! That’s a great quote from landlord Jeff about the brand new fridge he had bought – “this fridge really rocks the house” as he leaned on it and it rocked from side to side.

Jakers Ostrander on his birthday. Good luck at your gaming this Saturday, hopefully Tanner will come up with better sleeping arrangements for you this time. I’ll see you in about a month!

Kansas had their first game on Friday, but it was only on ESPN360 which i’m pretty sure we didn’t use to get. Well apparently comcast stepped it up because it worked on Friday – it’s amazing. You can pause, rewind, even reply games from the day before from your computer – basically it does everything tanner’s vcr can do – i was blown away, I was just walking around the house watching college basketball. On a side note, their freshmen Xavier Henry in his first game set the all time kansas freshman scoring record with 27 points. He hit a 3 on the first possesion and on the 3rd possession had a rebound dunk while getting fouled for another 3 point play. Me likey

This week’s (and the first) Reader of the Week Sweepstake Winner: Mitchell Thompson!! Mitch lives in Billings with his lovely wife Lisa and their dog snowpuff. He enjoys village inn buffets with Blade and Ave F gang parties. Fun Facts: We went to every school together (one year apart) and found out at a family reunion we’re distant cousins or something. Our parents also went to school together. Hopefully you won this far enough in advance that you’ll forget I owe you a cocktail by Christmas break.

This is really interesting…

BLOGGGG!!!! I started a blog – mostly to save gadget updates, but hopefully for some other good stuff too. Click here to see it. You’ll find the last 2 months or so on there which is when i started saving them – unfortuntely even looking back they’re still not that funny. Anyways, I’m still going to update the gadget every day, obvs to the max!

This is really interesting…

It’s Friday the 13th! Is it just me or does that happen all the time? When I was young I thought it was the craziest ‘what are the chances’ thing in the world. Now i’m pretty sure it happens every other Friday – at least. Regardless, I’m going to try and do something crazy today – maybe try to catch that squirrel i’ve been meaning to catch.

Currently watching…

College Basketball is officially kicking off this weekend – wow! college bball, college football and nfl action. Steph’s requests for another TV should skyrocket over the next couple months. Actually, I may make a chart of it if i’m not too busy watching college basketball all the time. Whoa, i just realized how late in the year it is – even hearing tanner point that out didn’t register at the time. I need a Christmas list or something! (btw my mom already sent me hers…)

The Soapbox:

Have a fun and safe weekend everyone!! Check back next Friday for a new edition of Reader of the Week – everyone’s a winner!
