Lately I’m thinking…

I’m off to Seeley Lake tomorrow so this is the last update of the week. We were thinking about flying into Seeley Lake but weren’t sure what “gate” we would arrive at. Oh ya and we didn’t want to land on any deer, so I guess we’re driving. I’m looking to beat my half marathon time last year of 2 hours by running in it 0 minutes. See you at the Filling Station

Lately I’m thinking…

I almost forgot about table top week, click here for the highly unnecessary Wedding Top

Currently watching…

I went and met Jake Whittenberg for a beer last night – he’s from Billings and was my next door neighbor in the dorms. He’s moving here to be a reporter for King 5 news, which should make the news much more entertaining to watch. “You stay classy, San Diego. I’m Ron Burgundy?”

This is really interesting…

A co-worker just came up to my desk to ask me a question, and commented on how organized my nerf darts were. I then went to look for a piece of paper for him and couldn’t find it anywhere, because turns out that “stuff” is super UN-organized. oh well

The Soapbox:

Have a fun and safe weekend everyone! “Oh, I can reserve you a flight coming *back* from Chicago at 5:55. Does that help? “

This is really interesting…

This was my first “in motion” table top – while we were walking I had to dive at Sputter, basically like I was an offensive lineman going at the knees of engaged defender. Anyways, Jakers pushed him, he fell in the snow and we all started laughing. After writing that, I’m starting to notice an interesting trend – Jakers has been involved in every table top I’ve posted on table top week! First me, then Joe and I, and now Andrew! I wonder if the TT karma is going to catch up to him soon….

This is really interesting…

Speaking of karma, Steph and I went to lunch at Boka today, and with the check they brought these little mini cookies with a kind of rasperry filling. Steph had one, and after telling her I didn’t want one she pretty much forced me to. So I took a bite and the whole thing just completely disintegrated/blew up into about 100 pieces all over the table. I’ve never seen anything like it, it was like it was a trick cookie or something similar to the trick golf balls. Steph then rolled her eyes and said “it’s weird mine didn’t do that” in a mocking tone. She then took a bite of hers and bit her entire lip so hard it started bleeding.  HA HA

This is really interesting…

(Wow lot’s of interesting stuff today) Steph and I started to watch Frost Nixon from Netflix last night at like 9:00. We were pretty distracted though and each had to stop the movie to answer a phone call. By the time it was 9:30 we decided it was too late and would just watch it the next day. So we started flipping through the comcast guide on TV and there was nothing on, but on HBO they were showing…you guessed it, Frost Nixon!! I clicked on it to see where it was in the movie and it was honestly less than 10 seconds earlier than where we stopped the DVD – it was almost like just taking the DVD off pause. So we just proceeded to watch the whole rest of the movie on HBO. It felt kind of weird mailing the netflix back this morning, considering we only watched about a 1/4 of the actual DVD

Shout out to…

Miss McRae and Heather – sounds like they are doing quite the number cleaning up the basement on Ave F. Don’t throw away my Sega Genesis!

I don’t have a lot of material today, but let’s go! Not sure that this is a traditional table top picture, but it did involve 2 people up to no good (jakers and tanner) knocking some people over and then pointing and laughing at them. Click here for the before picture, including my brand new drink I had made seconds before. Oh ya, and you can also see Jakers up to no good! (sorry if you’ve already seen these pictures)

Currently watching…

The Kansas game and women tell all on the bachelor – both were pretty boring compared to normal, although it was good to hear from Ali. Kansas now has a 58 game home win streak – do you know how ridiculous that is? It was over 3 years ago! Sienna is 2nd place with 34 and the closest school from a major conference is Duke/Kentucky with 17

This is really interesting…

Speaking of the NCAA, Mikey got our first round tickets in the mail yesterday and I also became a UW football season ticket holder. Now if only I could actually go back to college

This is really interesting…

I bought an electrc sander this weekend and sanded our gate down so that it swings freely without kind of getting stuck when opening and closing it. Our neighbors was way worse than ours, so I spent a lot of time and sandpaper working on his as well. Anyways, in front of our house we each have a patch of grass about big enough for a coffin each (bad example?). Well yesterday he mowed his 3 x 6 piece of grass…and didn’t mow ours. I think it actually makes his side look worse being next to a little patch of not mowed grass. very strange. Oh and I obviously don’t have a lawn mower for a patch of grass that size – i’m not even sure what he used. Maybe I’ll just let seeley eat a little bit of it each day and throw it up, since she seems to like to do that on walks

The Soapbox:

Apparently there’s a hard rock cafe by pike’s place now. A cool 95 minutes later I’m back in the office – let’s just say the whole process wasn’t as fast as say picking up jimmy johns or something. I did get to see the “pretty fly for a white guy” video though, and was reminded just how good of album Foreigners greatest hits was. Holzer, how about some Juke Box Hero to get ready to go out??

Happy Table Top Week, which I just made up because I’m going to run pictures of table tops the rest of the week. Why? “Well, I have a microphone, and you don’t, SO YOU WILL LISTEN TO EVERY DAMN WORD I HAVE TO SAY!” Anyways here are my “friends” Mikey and Jakers about to send me back down to earth. Thanks for the “hug”

This is really interesting…

Well it was a super nice sunny weekend – so I decided to sit on the patio for a while Saturday after I raked up the 8 or 9 leaves in the yard. Turns out I’m still the whitest I’ve ever been in my whole life. I think it’s pretty hard to get a tan in the middle of February in Seattle. I did have goosebumps pretty much the whole time though, because it was kind of windy if that counts

This is really interesting…

Somebody brought in sample powder packets of Anrold Palmer mix to work on Friday. So needless to say I had a couple “alcoholic Arnies” sitting outside saturday afternoon. I mean that’s just a fantastic drink, and I know that one totally saved me last time we went golfing in vegas. Click here for a great sportcenter commercial with Arnold Palmer

Lately I’m thinking…

I don’t remember inviting Google to read my gadget/blog. Tanner I’ll try to put some good stuff in the soapbox today so Google gets a better impression of you

The Soapbox:

Dear Google, Tanner Keil is probably a good math teacher and a decent employee, especially in the winter when he actually tries to put in a full work week. He also has a rapist’s wit. Don’t index his mug shot

Shout out to…

The new Reader Of The Week (and birthday boy tomorrow)…. Mikey Ouert!! This is Mikey taking a “sobriety test” after trying convince us he hadn’t had that much to drink. I’m pretty sure the standard test calls for you to walk in a straight line with your eyes open, not stand on a straight line, close your eyes, and bust out laughing. I dare somebody to tell me not to use this picture for his birthday next year too. Anyways I now owe you a cocktail, which I’m going to have you cash in at the cheapest bar in MT I know. See you next weekend, happy birthday!

This is really interesting…

As an indication of how far i’ve expanded my tastes in food, last night Steph made a Thai noodle bowl with chicken fo me, after deciding she herself didn’t even want any – I was the only one who ate it! It was delicious too, I think I’m still well on my way to becoming a judge on top chef, but I’ll probably have to figure out what “puree” is – I think every meal they make is something puree.

Lately I’m thinking…

So there are a ton, and i mean a ton of groups on U-face that are like “I bet you <insert group here> can get 1,000,000 fans before <insert other group here>. Well I just saw one for Montana State fans compared to montana fans. Tell you what, if you find 1 MILLION people that are fans of either one I think you have a winner. There’s not even 1 million people in the entire state of MT, so there can’t be 1 million bandwagon griz fans from there. At least I hope not

This is really interesting…

He had “HA” written on one cheak, and sure enough “PPY” on the other

The Soapbox:

Have a fun and safe weekend everyone!! I ate outside for lunch today.

Lately I’m thinking…

Happy TIDOA! It’s a beautiful sunny day, and I don’t have any gadget material. Hold on, here we goooooooooooo!

Currently watching…

During the Duke-miami game yesterday there was an advertisement for a pizza place on the big board below the scorers table. At first I thought it was pretty mean/dumb to advertise for a place most the nation can’t try, but i guess they were targeting people actually in attendance. Anyways, whenever i see things like that I wonder how good they are. I know that Sal’s pizza in Durham is DEEElicious. Oh btw I like hubert davis as an announcer and studio guy

This is really interesting…

It’s all downhill from here – which is kind of like going downhill from sea level. Without a snorkel. No paddle for the river, ya know. I’M ON A BOAT! I’ve derailed

Currently watching…

Oh did everyone see that Shawn White has a private half pipe?? I haven’t seen very much olympic coverage, so sorry if everyone already knows about it, and as I type this i’m kind of guessing that’s the case, but click here didn’t. I always wished I had the train at west park plaza to myself, but that hardly ever happened

Tanner I’m having problems updating my gadget too, it’s now a couple click process – i almost deleted my own gadget yesterday! Not sure how you invite yourself back to it if it’s deleted. Anyways, here’s a picture of us walking the wrong direction towards husky stadium a couple years ago. The only thing that makes hitchhiking harder than walking away from the stadium, is stopping to pick up free furniture “on the way”

This article about yet another oregon football player in trouble. I thought LeGarrette Blount’s problems last year were early in the season, but I guess not compared to this year. Already 2 players have been kicked off the team, both kickers were beat up and charged with assualt (one on a girl), the qb is a suspect in a robbery and now LaMichael James is in prison for assault. Maybe oregon should play their running backs on defense as well, as it appears that LaGarrette and LaMichael Laboth LaLike to LaHit people

This is really interesting…

A couple of quick hitters: The president of Toyota is named Akio “Toyoda” – did someone mispell something somewhere down the line? Or is that guy unrelated but they hired him because he sounded like it would be a good fit? I emailed the great falls reunion committee yesterday to see if i could go. I need a haircut SUPER bad but i don’t feel like calling the place, and haven’t the entire week

This is really interesting…

I ran out of things to say one prompt too early

Lately I’m thinking…

Seeley has more toys than I do. Oh ya and I’m out of pictures

Currently watching…

Wow how stressful was last night? Kansas probably shouldn’t have won that game, I don’t even know how they scored 59 points, I only remember them making 3 shots. That followed by the worst bachelor of all time (yes that was last weeks episode, until this one aired). Ali blew it, then Jake blew it, Jake’s annoying and says the same stuff every week and out of the 2 girls who are left one lives in a complete fantasy world with dancing unicorns and the other is a tramp. I knew jake being the bachelor wasn’t a very good choice but I never thought it would get this bad. Phew, i’d like to say i feel better, but i don’t think i will until the season is over. See you next week

Lately I’m thinking…

Holzer here’s a handy little DVR tip – if you’re wating a show on DVR but then change it to a channel (either to check a score or something or in your case you forgot you were watching a show on DVR) just hit the “back” button and it takes you to the place you left off on the recorded show. You can basically flip back and forth between a live tv show and the recorded one and not miss a beat! Sorry Tanner, I know you don’t know what a DVR is and I don’t have any VCR tips for you, although I have heard that you can get rewind machines that rewind tapes much faster than the traditional VCR.

Lately I’m thinking…

This looks like it’s going to be a great week – sunshine with temps in the high 50s and maybe even up to 60. On a side note, there’s no show anywhere in the northwest (see olympics in canada)

The Soapbox:

“What? Friends listen to Endless Love in the dark.”

Lately I’m thinking…

Happy “I hate presidents” day – or at least that’s pretty much what it feels like considering I’m working today. It’s a ghost town down here – all the lights in our building are off and you need a keycard to get in the front door, use the elevator, and get into our office. That combined with a ton of fog this morning made it a little eerie walking into work. Thankfully I had a delicious piece of coffee cake (or as I call it cinnamon cake because it doesn’t taste anything like coffee and instead tastes like, yep you guessed it, cinammon)

Lately I’m thinking…

This is going to be a short, pointless update, thanks for tuning in! Better luck next time. Oh I went to piecoras twice on friday

Shout out to…

Village Pizza in Roslyn, WA – DElicious!!! Must be something about putting “village” in your pizza name that makes it decilious. We took a trip to suncadia this weekend. It was pretty good except for the 7AM hotel clearing fire alarm. The alarm starts out by just flashing a strobe light in your room (a minute or two before the ear piercing siren joins it) to ensure maximum danger when trying to walk around your room by temporarily blinding you every second. darn teenagers.  p.s. steph took that picture with her iphone

Lately I’m thinking…

Ya know a lot of people go to college for 7 years

Shout out to…

The Valentines Day edition Reader Of the Week….Stephanie Klitz!!! Steph puts up with my eating habits, sits through at least one SportsCenter a day, and spoils the dickens out of Seeley the Dog, all of which make me happy. Steph deserves to win Reader Of The Week every day, but that wouldn’t make sense simply by definition. She’s winning her free cocktail during her training stretch when she’s not really drinking, but maybe she’ll be able to enjoy it after the Snow Joke. A cocktail would be a lot more appropriate than whatever Katie has by the bottle in her trunk anyway.

This is really interesting…

I got my final four tickets in the mail the other day – they’re pretty darn official looking. I honestly don’t know what to do with them right now – just wait and see who’s in the final four I guess? I was also hoping that UW would be in the first round games in spokane, but their inability to win a road game means they’re not going to be in the tourney unless they win the pac-10 tournament. Latest bracketology does have texas and tennessee there though. I predict lots and lots of side bets, and I’m excited

Lately I’m thinking…

Heather I came up with a new rule – from now on you have to tell me BEFORE you have heart surgery – wait scratch that, let’s just say any surgery – not just after. Glad everything’s okay though and that you got a pre-surgery duke win.

This is really interesting…

I did my taxes last night. That’s probably the last time I do them by myself. I felt like I was kind of just winging it in sections. If it was a test in college or something, I’d probably walk away knowing that I passed, but not that confident in some of my answers

The Soapbox:

Have a fun and safe weekend everyone!!! I’ll bet you twenty bucks I can get you gambling before the end of the day. I’ll give you 3 to 1 odds.  YOUR Montana State Fighting Bobcats are a pick in streak for the cash on espn today
