This is really interesting…

Well prom is tomorrow – I’m on the prom committee and we spent last night finalizing the music (dope jams) and scoped out the venue. Funny thing is I’m not making any of that stuff up. Anyways, hopefully everything goes smoother than my ‘Anything for love’ dance at the Thompsons wedding

Lately I’m thinking…

I seriously don’t have anything to talk about – i hope this doesn’t ruin my credibility with my 4-5 different readers. I don’t even have anything boring sports related. Oh yes I do, the ncaa/nba needs to change their draft rule. Kentucky is just becoming a revolving door for people playing 1 year. I say it should be a mix of baseball and football rules – you can either declare for the nba out of high school, or if you go to college you have to play at least 3 years. I should be on a committee

Shout out to…

Joey – nice job with the sit, stay and shake with the dog. I remember when we had seeley sit, stay, run up to us and shake in puppy class before they even taugh shake – the whole crowd gasped and then clapped. A year and half later whenever you say anthing, Seeley sits, tries to shake, howls and then lays down, basically running through all she’s got trying to get a treat. She definitely hit her peak as far as training goes when she was a puppy – now she’s just on her own schedule living the good life

Lately I’m thinking…

Here’s a picture of a killer whale demolishing a salmon in puget sound. Earlier this week a pod of killer whales apparently attacked a grey whale (which might be the one that showed up dead in west seattle today). Not really sure what that means in the grand scheme of things, but killer whales are awesome

This is really interesting…

Steph ordered a slice of pizza from piecoras last night, and since her change of diet she just ordered a “veggie slice”. So the lady asked what 3 vegetables she wanted on it, to which steph replied “Uh tomatoes…..peppers…and….that’s all I can think of”. The lady then had to name off other vegetables until Steph finally heard another one she actually liked.

This is really interesting…

(not really, i mean kind of, i’m mostly just trying to fill in space here) this new feature on photoshop (click here). It’s actually crazy how that works (the thing with the tree at the end especially). They could literally take mona out of the mona lisa if they wanted i bet

This is really interesting…

I’ve been in a meeting all afternoon and am trying to update this really quick so sorry, as I am almost everyday, for the quality.

The Soapbox:

I’m going to via tribunali with Steph and Seeley for happy hour today so i’ve got that going for me

Lately I’m thinking…

This picture doesn’t have anything to do with anything, but I like it and it’s why not wednesday and for some reason it just seems to work.  Thanks Nebel

Currently watching…

Speaking of unicycles (kind of, that was yesterday’s picture) click here for basically a bar stool on wheels (you don’t need sound, or at least I haven’t used it yet). How fun would these be for around the gaming table?

This is really interesting…

Well for those of you who feel like you don’t get quite enough Seeley material here at Blade America…..Steph updated her blog, the Daily Issue, with some iPhone pictures

This is really interesting…

Joe I also had tacos last night – I had steak tacos while steph had a veggie tofu bean bar or something. She’s decided for about the 5th time she’s going to be a vegetarian (last time it ended when she ate beef tacos and then realized that vegetarians don’t do that). Personally I give it 6 more days

I just had one of the 5 best iced grande chais of my life this morning so I’m pretty hyper. Hype Hype Hooray….ho….hey….ho. On a side note I rode Nebel’s unicycle at perkins place once……once

Lately I’m thinking…

Well Mariners opening day was a success….for everyone besides the mariners. They had 2 hits on the day but honestly it felt more like 0. We should get Albert Pujols, he’s good. The Mariners have 3 home runs and 19 RBIs this year – albert has 5 and 14. Lock it up Jacky Z!

Currently watching…

Did you guys see this video of Jon Brockman dunking in practice??. Both guys are making it look pretty easy. I don’t even remember Brockman dunking in college, he would just get the ball down low, go around his guy and….lay it up. Not even a backboard slap

Shout out to…

Joey – that’s a great joke today, I copied it to the soapbox below. Oh and by the way, when are you going to tell us what the three thruths were? Our friendship is basically on the line. Thanks!

The Soapbox:

Q: What is Irish and begins to come out in the spring?….. A: Patty O’Furniture!

The twins are having their home opener right now at brand new “target field”. I’m not even kidding, sitting in the front row right behind home plate is a DOG with a target symbol around his left eye. Great seats, that’s a lucky dog (get it). Speaking of dogs (nice transition) here’s a picture of seeley sleeping on my shoulder

This is really interesting…

The good news I bought new skis today. The bad news is I had to pay for them with money. The other bad news is it was kind of anti-climatic because I can’t pick them up until this weekend. The other bad news is it’s even more anti-climatic because I can’t use them until next year…but I’m still really excited!

This is really interesting…

I’ve heard “bad romance” by lady gaga about 30 times on the radio, and everytime I’ve cranked up the volume pretty loud. I just realized today though that everytime I do that, the back window is usually open for seeley.

This is really interesting…

You can now stream instant netflix movies through a wii! THAT IS AWESOME

The Soapbox:

Opening day at Safeco! Only 1 more hour to go. Tanner I agree, I’ve never rooted for Phil before but listening talk about his wife and kids the whole time after Tiger’s whole deal changed my mind – that shot through the trees was big time too. Nebed thanks for the update (I sometimes mix up ‘d’ and ‘l’)

The new Reader of the Week…… David “Jeff Watkins class of ’97” Fisher!! Fisher convinced me to move to Seattle to work at Auuuu-beta and statistically speaking we’re the best friends in Seattle. Fisher turns vientiocho on Monday so tell you what, you win TWO free cocktails (that I usually avoid buying for people), what a deal! Have a good weekend muchacho!

Lately I’m thinking…

What’s going on this weekend? Steph’s on vacation in Arizona so Seeley and I need some company. On a side note, steph usually takes vacations to warm and sunny places (usually beaches). I usually take vacations by driving 8 hours to western Montana to eat mackenzie river, sing karaoke, and then drive 8 hours home with a bunch of bruises.

Shout out to…

Holzer, nice gadget update buddy, keep em coming! Also stand by with the heat, the Mariners might need some bullpen help

Current Status…

9.5 – Everyone kept talking about the Masters starting but I was confused because it’s only Wednesday…until I realized it’s Thursday! I also had two gadget updates to read the minute I booted up the computer for the day, so that was a good start. Combine that with a caramel cadbury egg and a reeses egg (i’ve had one every day since Easter) and you got yourself a mini-party

This is really interesting…

Moopie’s been really busy at work lately so we haven’t been able to get lunch, but today he was free so he said “Qdoba at 11:45”. Well when I left at about 12:15 after eating there by myself I asked him, “you didn’t happen to go to chipotle instead did you?”, to which he replied “no, I just ate at qdoba”. A minute later he then said “oh wait, which one is the new one?”. Well better luck next time I guess

This short article about Scrabble on the iPad – as the author said it would be pretty ridiculous to buy that equipment just for scrabble, but it’s a cool idea. My co-worker has an iPad – I want one, but I can’t think of anything I’d use it for, so that’s not a good sign for me ever getting one

Pretty sure it was just sunny and hailing outside

Lately I’m thinking…

I’m not sure what’s going on here – I think joey is “arresting” me or something. I’m also not sure how much this picture has to do with baseball besides the fact it’s at the stadium, but I’m counting it.

This is really interesting…

Well after a quick start out of the game the Mariners are suddenly just a .500 baseball team. Speaking of the Mariners, who wants to catch a game this year – Joey? Jakers? Mitch? Mikey? Tanner? Nebel? okay I think you get the point. Yankees, white sox or red sox in July? Royals in August? Maybe a double dose of rangers and UW-huskers game in September? Okay i’m getting carried away

This is really interesting…

I don’t usually look at Seattle weather on my iPhone until summer because it’s just the same rain image 6 times in a row, but today i decided to check it out anyway hoping for some more unseasonably warm weather we’ve had lately. Wow – 57 and sunny today and 65 and sunny tomorrow! I got super excited, thought about which T-shirt to wear and told steph – she didn’t believe me though. So I bet her a dollar, shook her hand on it and then handed over the phone to celebrate my victory. She then flipped the screen from ‘Billings’ to ‘Seattle’, called me an idiot and asked for her dollar. cripes!!

This youtube video of a girl after getting her wisdom teeth out. It’s along the same lines as ‘david at the dentist’ but still made me laugh, you need sound though. Speaking of unicorns, we met a guy last week quit his job and was writing a book….about unicorns. ya he was crazy, but wanted to “bring them back”.

Shout out to…

Duke (and Heather)!! That was a really good game the whole time, I think the biggest lead was 5 or 6 and that only lasted about 2 plays. Butler is a really good team – I understand that they play where Hoosiers was filmed, and don’t have anywhere near the tradition of Duke, but they were not a cindarella team in my opinion. They were ranked 2 spots behind Duke when the season began so I don’t know why people were so surprised they did well and ya they have a small school, but it’s the same size as wake forest and only 2,000 less than duke. When wake forest wins a couple games in the tourney (honestly that doesn’t happen too often) does everyone say “whoa a school with only 4,000 students won a game!” uhh no, and i’m not even sure what the size of the student body at a school has to do with how good the 10 person basketball team is, it’s not like they’re picking walk ons from people already enrolled at the school, but I feel like that’s all I heard about all week. Anyways Butler should be a top 3 pre-season team next year, and I’d vote them #1 considering they lost by 2 in the chamionship game and return almost everybody, but that probably won’t happen. On a side note, comparing this era to the one of John Wooden just isn’t going to work because it was so different, but as far as the modern era goes coach K has definitely separated himself

This is really interesting…

Mitch brought up a good point about 2 in 1 soap and shampoo – it’s great for a gym bag so you only have to pack one item. Sports!

This is really interesting…

The Mariners are on a torrid pace this year for wins. In honor I’m going to post baseball pics all week from the Ba-joe-lor party weekend. I only have about 4 from that weekend, so that should work out pretty well. And even though Sunday was technically opening day and yesterday really was opening day, we can’t go to the opening day of the Mariners until next Monday. Hopefully that gives Seattle enough time to get sunny and hot

Lately I’m thinking…

I think it’s outrageous that Oregon might have the highest paid coach in college basketball. Not north carolina, ucla, kansas or kentucky…but oregon. Will be intersting to see who they land. On a side note Mikey you’re totally right, Howard has a horrible mustache and it’s even funnier when he fouls (every 8 seconds) and gets called for one and then storms off with his mustache

The Soapbox:

Rant: I can’t believe they’re almost for sure going to expand the tournament to 96 teams. All everyone says every year is how great the tournament is and how much better than college football it is, and now they’re changing it. Actually the reason they usually give for not making football into a playoff is because the students will miss more school, and yet in basketball teams will miss somewhere around 3 extra days now and for some reason that’s not a problem. It also makes the regular season a lot less important now, St Johns went 6-12 in conference and they probably would have made it in. unc would have made it in really easily. What I’m worried about is it will resemble the nba, and players won’t play hard all year because they’re just waiting to “turn on the switch” for the tournament. I can’t imagine very many people paying to see those first couple round games in a neutral location either, I know I wouldn’t. Oh ya and filling out a 96 team bracket sounds like it will take forever…

A guy from work went on vacation for a week (during April fools day), so somebody put his nerf gun in Jell-o! hahahahha I wish it was me

Lately I’m thinking…

Does anybody use a shampoo/body wash in one? I think that’s totally crazy and I don’t think I ever would. I mean if you get used to it and then go a friends house or hotel or something, you’ll probably end up putting soap in your hair. Oh and it would basically just be like somebody saying “why use your old shampoo when this bottle will go empty twice as fast”. Um, anyways…

Shout out to…

Matt Miller (the GM who picked the team) and my teammates Sam, Woody, Gunner and Nate for winning the bonopio basketball championship on Saturday. I’m really sore and it hurts sitting down, using stairs and I think I sprained my poor little wrist, but that’s why they play the game

This is really interesting…

Click the link to see a side-by-side picture of Tony Criswell (neighbor from college) and Brad Stevens the coach from Butler. When I first left college and saw a Butler game on TV I was convinced Tony was the coach – I mean he even moved to Indiana after College and had the exact same haircut as stevens when he left. Obviously if the picture didn’t say “beat duke” it would have made the main picture today

The Soapbox:

Hope everyone had a great Easter. I got an Easter basket (thanks Steph) and had a delicious lunch so I’d say it was a smashing success. I can’t believe the person who cooks the spiral-cut ham (the MAIN dish) AND glazes it doesn’t get more respect though, but oh well, I pretty much killed it.
