Tanner I’ll take the same spot as usual please. If I get there before you do I’ll just save you one though and take your room. Can’t be that hard to change a sign

Lately I’m thinking…

Speaking of changing…don’t any of you folks out there go changing on me

Current Status…

9.7 – Even though I was at work for 12 hours yesterday so I don’t really have anything to talk about today. I’m cashing in a $10.00 check from little caesars today so that might bump me up a .1 as well. On a side note, after two 3-day work weeks I have to work 4 days this week. Tomorrow is going to be rouugghhh

This is really interesting…

Yesterday Steph went and saw Pat and Katie’s new baby, and apparently it’s the first time she’s ever seen a baby because she told me multiple times that she couldn’t believe how small babies are and then how big they end up growing. (she used the poor example that a little tiny baby will one day be as big as I am…). Anyways, then she wanted to know what animal grew from smallest to biggest and wouldn’t let it go until i googled it. I said it’s probably a kangaroo and she pointed and laughed at me. Final answer says….the Red Kangaroo!! I should seriously be a nature guide (click here)

Well course 1 of the Bonopio Tour was last night at Interbay. What a disaster. After the first 2 holes I had a score of 17, and keep in mind this was a par 3 course. I didn’t even lose a ball! apparently they don’t institute the common rule of the max you can get on a hole is double bar, so me just hitting my ball around didn’t help. In a show of true consistency i started with a 10, 7, 3. pretty standard.

Currently watching…

For a little more insight into the Bonopio sports tournaments, here’s a video of the basketball draft from this year made by our buddy Zak Downing (click here and enter the password ‘hoops’). In summary I was last pick but we did win the championship. And that’s what I hoping for in golf, a tour championship for team Pink. Despite my effort last night we managed to win the first tournament.

Current Status…

9.9 – I’m pretty hyper. Coffee cake steph made today with an iced grande chai = party bonanza. I’m also in the works of furthering my Karaoke career, stay tuned

Currently watching…

True Blood, Entourage, and the Bachelorette, which just gets more scripted every year. Oh well. On a side note I had MOD pizza for lunch yesterday, and that place is just a phenomenal lunch choice

Lately I’m thinking…

It’s extremely safe to say I didn’t make any money in vegas. This 1 cent voucher was probably my most prized possession and I left it in the hotel room. On a side note, the fact that you can’t play just a penny in the penny slots doesn’t sit very well with me

Lately I’m thinking…

It’s still early, but i could use about 20-25 extra degrees on the weekend forecast for Seeley. On another side note, it was 104 in Vegas and I had a hard time breathing

This is really interesting…

I need somewhere to store the B Unit – does anyone have an extra garage, or a friend with one or something like that? At first I decided I should probably just sell it as I won’t have much need for it if I ever move back in a couple years, but then I realized that I would of course want it, especially if I had a side gig delivering pizzas. I’ll probably send out an email too

This is really interesting…

I have no idea what’s going on

Well I come home from camping with Steph’s family and what has she done? Killed plantar, my first plant. She ripped it out of the pot and through it outside. I loved that plant so much. She said not to worry because she replaced it, and then I found out she just “replaced” it with another plant from the house. uhhh not sure that counts. Then last night she had the nerve to ask me this question as Plantar lied dead in our yard, “what should we do with plantar?”. WE?? pfffffffffffff. RIP plantar

Shout out to…

Okay that being said, after driving for 3 hours from the campsite to Sacramento, and then flying a couple hours to Portland I was going to have to take the 4 hour train ride from Portland to Seattle capping off a 11 hour travel day. But Steph surprised me at the Portland airport and drove me back to Seattle with Seeley the dog. bonus

This is really interesting…

mowing the lawn went terrific last night. I raised the mower to it’s highest setting and let the spinner fly. guy stuff

Current Status…

CATS!

This is my last update for the week as I’m off to Vegas tomorrow so have a fun and safe weekend everyone!!

I honestly would have updated my gadget 4 hours earlier if I had a picture to use. If i don’t I never know how to get started. I might just have to start an early run of 4th of july photos to keep this thing plowing ahead.

Wow I can’t believe the bachelorette got rid of the 2 most obvious guys by far without the producers making her keep them. One guy basically talked for the first time on show (the guy who looks like Nadal) and then she act surprised that he wasn’t that interesting. Here’s a snippet of the conversation: Ali: “So what’s something I’d be surprised to know about you?” Nadal: “I’m funny…..” followed by 45 minutes of silence. Ali: “What’s a guilty pleasure of yours?” Nadal: “I like mexican food” Blade: “you’re a complete idiot”

Lately I’m thinking…

Tanner and Jakers, I got a lot done yesterday too which was pretty impressive considering I travled for 11 hours on Sunday and then worked until 7:30 last night. I’m mowing the lawn tonight and maybe doing some bike maintenance. Keep in mind my “lawn” is the size of a miniature golf hole so I just hope it doesn’t take me 45 minutes to mow it like last time

This is really interesting…

It’s sunny in Seattle today. Just in time too as the days are now getting shorter every day

Shout out to…

The entire Klitz familly for a super fun weekend of camping and fishing. I’m definitely not firing on all cylinders today. I’m not even sure if I have A cylinder, let alone many cylinders to necessitate an entire “firing on all” statement. See the soapboxes for some of my ‘firsts’ from the trip

Lately I’m thinking…

I’m not going to have any drinks….until I go to vegas Thursday at 8:00 AM….ouch

This is really interesting…

I think I ate better on the camping trip than I usually do back in civilization – hamburgers, hot dogs, corn, fish tacos, chicken, potatoes, breakfast buritos, beef tacos – delicious. There was also a very handy open bar setup. on a side note, I hurt my hip playing horseshoes. It hurts to walk. That’s embarassing

Shout out to…

Everyone in Billings who is dealing with some damage from the tornado, including my mom who’s basement flooded! 😦 She put out a tip jar in case you are driving by with extra money. Click here for the video of the metra getting destroyed (Steph and I just saw a concert there last summer and I guess the day before the tornado hit there was a football game inside). (p.s. i haven’t watched the video with sound so sorry if it’s inappropriate for some reason)

The Soapbox:

Trip Firsts: cleaning a fish, taking the hook out of the fish (i usually need help), eating fish tacos provided by myself, putting a live cricket on the hook (almost), sleeping outside on a cot, In & Out burger, and a sandwich from subway. nature

I’m going on a 4 day fishing/camping trip with 14 guys from Steph’s extended family tomorrow – pretty casual. I just hope that everyone knows going into this thing that my idea of “roughing it” involves singing karaoke at the filling station bar in Seeley Lake with some sort of an animal shirt on. NAATTTUUUURRRREEEE

Lately I’m thinking…

I’m going to have MOD pizza for lunch because I don’t think I’ll have pizza again until Sunday night at the earliest! My plan of “playing it cool” on this trip does not include bringing a frozen pizzas unfortunately

Lately I’m thinking…

The #1, #2, and #3 reasons why I one day want to have a water filter is the ability to make nature-ades (nature water, gatorade mix and vodka)

This is really interesting…

I finally got a haircut and I’m taking the train for the first time tonight (to portland). ooops, sorry, i thought this section was “not interesting and unrelated”

The Soapbox:

Assuming the campsite doesn’t have computers and wi-fi I’m out Thursday and Friday, so have a fun and safe weekend everyone!! I hope summer is here by the time I get back. If not I’ll just go to vegas for the weekend

Lately I’m thinking…

What a great weekend. Here’s a picture of Seeley and I skiing yesterday at rainier – wow going up was not easy. It was steep, super hot, I was sweating everywhere and sunscreen kept running into my eyes. Seemed to be a non-issue for Seeley though as she chased little tumbling snowballs downhill each time and was able to quickly get back to where I was as I labored through each step. Watching her bolt downt he hill at the end is frickin hilarious – she couldn’t stop in 500 yards if she wanted to probably.

This is really interesting…

Also took her to Magnuson park on lake washington. Malamutes aren’t known as water dogs or fetchers, but she swam and got the ball for me about10 times – it was awesome. Granted it took about 90 minutes, as she would come back as slow as she could, usually stopping to shake off while still in the middle of the water, but what can ya do. I was cracking up the whole time

This is really interesting…

I got a lot of sun on my stomach, and zero sun on my back this weekend. I look like a two layer piece of gum or something. On a side note, we took the ol tandem out this weekend – having seeley jog along on the side basically means everyone in georgetown has to move out of the way.

Shout out to…

Ski tickets and gas powered mowers – I had no idea how good of a deal they actually are. Climbing up just for a few turns sure shows you how ridiculously of a good deal lift tickets are that I had previously thought were super overpriced. I also tried mowing our mini lawn with a manual sinning push lawn mower thing which was basically the equivalent of doing about 100 bench presses and a couple blisters on the hands. It would go 6 inches and then stop. And that was after I trimmed the whole yard the day before (which also sucks). I think i’m just going to mow the lawn everyday so that it never gets too long for that thing to work. That shouldn’t get old at all

The Soapbox:

I’ve already had my reunion this month, and today I just put in a request for this Thursday and Friday off, next Thursday and Friday off, and the next Friday off. Super casual

The new Reader of the Week….Matthew Hollllzer! Holzer and I were roommates in college, and I give him a lot of credit for helping to get me through college. Holzer lives in Portland and loves the black cat and the penguin. Mostly bars with animals in their name I suppose. He also enjoys green heineken sweatshirts, and will wear one every day for a year if you ask him too. Holz, you win one free vodka redbill or beer next time I see you, which I hope is soon.

UW had a grand opening for a new store in downtown today, so I decided to go after being at work for 1 minute. I tried getting a picture with Sark twice, but the first time I chickened out and the 2nd time my phone died. Oh well, I can probably get one when he invites me over to his bbq for best friends. Anyways, I bought a tailgate hitch cover, a portable dog bowl and some eye blacks – i’m surprised they don’t have package deal for those things or something

This is really interesting…

Lost in all this conference shuffling is Kansas, along with kansas state, iowa state, baylor and possibly missouri. What’s interesting is out of those 5 teams, 4 of them will be ranked in the pre-season top 25 for basketball next year. Out of the possibly 16 Pac 10 teams……one. Just goes to show how much more money football makes compared to basketball.

Shout out to…

Everyone who came to karaoke last night – it was probably one of the best nights of my life. I could definitely see myself quitting my job and doing that once every two weeks

The Soapbox:

Have a fun and safe weekend everyone!! I’m looking forward to a lot of fun and sun.

Stuff is going down in college football! USC just go smacked with a 2 year bowl ban and 10 less scholarships each year for 3 years. Nebraska is now in the big 10, which actually already had 11 so now they’re kind of the big 12. And the former big 12 had 11 (for about 6 hours), but technically they could call themselves the big 10 based on the precendent of incorrect naming set by the former big 10. still with me? let’s move onto the next line at least

Currently reading…

Well since then Colorodo has already left the former big 12 for the pac-10. That’s just another domino falling in a possible mega pac-10, who if anything will add utah but more than likely add Texas, A&M, Tech, OU, OSU instead. I like the tradition of the pac-10 in that they were the only conference to play a full round robin schedule, but there’s a reason no other conference did that. It guarantees 1 more loss for half of the conference. Besides that our TV contract was absolutely horrible and we weren’t making as much money as other conferences. It’s estimated each school will make 20 million more a year now if it ends up being the pac-16. Oh and even more late-breaking news….Jake Locker was voted “sexiest jake” against jake gyllenhaal on espn sportsnation last night

Shout out to…

The Unit – we’ve officially been in our house for 1 year today. That’s pretty crazy to think about how fast it went by. Just got a couple new plants yesterday too to bring the total up to 4 (yes plantar is still hanging on). One year later I’m still hoping for power blinds though. Obviously nobody that reads this thing has taken my subtle hint to just go buy me some power blinds!!!

This is really interesting…

Golden Tate (rookie on the seahawks) was caught “breaking in” to a top pot donuts in seattle a couple days ago. Turns out he lives in the building and knows the owner, so went in there one night for a maple bar. Someone saw him and called the cops, even though no charges were filed. At a press conference he said “since I’ve moved to seattle I’ve been eating top pot dounts, the maple bars are irresistable”. When Pete Carrol was asked about his said “Those maple bars are pretty irresistable”. classic

The Soapbox:

Oh ya masoli was kicked off oregon yesterday. He was never really known for his passing, but going from heisman candidate to suspended for a year to kicked off the team was a pretty good run!! zing!!
