Shout out to…

The new Reader of the Week….Chris “skeelo” “safety isn’t an accident” Cunningham!!  Skeelo will be captaining his 4th kickball season starting next week after finishing up our first practice yesterday.  Skeelo enjoys UW sports, karaoke, dance floors and owning more iPhone 4’s so far than almost everyone in the world.  I owe you a drink, hopefully from the open bar at the wedding tomorrow.

This is really interesting…

Well Zach was in town yesterday so we hit up happy hour, kickball practice and then kickball post practice at LTD in fremont.  I’d say things were going pretty well until we went through about a 12 pack of smirnoff to ice people.  At one point zach bought 3, gave 2 of them out and then forgot where the one he was holding came from, concluding that Garrett bought it for him and he had to drink it himself.  Wow.  Anyways we ordered pizza ragazzi to the bar and pretty much closed it down playing buck hunter.  pretty social

Shout out to…

Garrett for heading down, it’s the first time we’ve met up in Seattle and it was a blast.  During one round of buck hunter he went 5-5 on perfect sites and then capped it off with a perfect bonus round.  Come to think of it we probably should have iced Garrett more.  (on a quick side note, after zach and I also went perfect on the bonus site it was up to Steph to complete the sweep and we basically just started jumping and yelling when she did)

Lately I’m thinking…

That’s it – I can’t stand not knowing if the gadget is going to be dead or alive each day. And it’s hard coming up with goodbye speeches like 4 days in a row. So this is it, the last of the gadgets.  Blade America will go on

Goodbye iGoogle page, I no longer need you. It just brings back too many memories.  On a side note sorry for the no update yesterday – we had a 3 hour company lunch and then a 90 minute meeting and that’s pretty much all she wrote

Shout out to…

Zach Benoit!  He’s in town from lovely MT for the evening.  Unfortunately it’s not karaoke night, but we do have kickball and post-kickball practice tonight so that should suffice.  post-kickball practice is my favorite

This is really interesting…

Last year we bought a window air conditioner and took it back the same day when we realized we were going to need to drill holes to install it.  Then a couple days ago we bought a “portable” one that sits on the ground in front of a window instead.  (btw “portable” isn’t the best word, considering the power cord is 3 feet long and it says not to use an extention cord, and also the hose to the window is 3 feet long, but heck it’s on wheels and weighs 96 pounds so even though you can’t move it let’s call it portable)  Anyways the moral of the story is we took it back 1 day later.  We suck at air conditioning

Current Status…

This is my most conflicted status update of all time. The gadget appears to be dead, I’m the only one that can still update and that will probably end soon. It’s been discontinued and google is no longer supporting it. So on that front my status is a record low 0. On the other end of the spectrum we finally got blinds installed on the rest of the house, and on that front I’m a 10. I thought about taking an average, but 5 is way too high for the death of the gadget and 5 is way too low for new blinds. So I’m going with 10 divided by 0 resulting in an unprecedented undefined number

Shout out to…

All the gadget authors out there – we had a good run and I’ll never forget you: Tanner, Nebel, Joey, Mikey, Jakers, Holzer, Maddie, Steph, Heather and Elie

Why is google doing this? Google you suck. and your new image search page is total crap. and nobody uses google buzz. From now on whenever I hear someone say “just google it” I’m going to assume they’re saying “just totally drop the ball on it” or “just coug it”

Currently watching…

Inception – total mind blower. Good movie, go see it. I couldn’t sleep at night though so I made Seeley get in the bed. I think that helped except for the fact she took up all the space, licked my face throughout the night and basically pushed me against the wall while she stretched her legs

Shout out to…

The new Reader of the Week…..Jakers Ostrander!!  Jakers and I were college roommates, and he’s the one that finally got the rims to stick on the B Unit for good.  Up until that point if I took a corner too fast (super easy in an 82′ subaru) they would go rolling off towards people on the sidewalk, which hurts street cred.  I used to live in Billings, and now Jakers does, unfortunately we haven’t both lived there at the same time yet.  He enjoys skiing, cruiser biking, the family gaming table and making up margarita ingredients.  Have a great weekend – I owe you a key light in a coozy!

Lately I’m thinking…

I can’t get over how fun karaoke is.  Seeing as how it’s kind of  regular thing I really wanted to sing less, well let’s just say “girly” songs.  So after I put ‘Any Man of Mine’ in the queue I decided to remove it.  By the end of the night however I sang ‘stay’ by lisa loeb, ‘that boy is mine’ by monica and brandy, and ‘bad romance’ by lady gaga.   Oh well, you can’t win them all

Shout out to…

Zak Downing – he’s the one who made our basketball draft video and now has the first golf tournament video of the year at Interbay (password bga).  He’s really talented and the video is awesome!

Lately I’m thinking…

It’s really hard having 2 jobs, especially when one involves drinking Thursday nights for no money and one involves working Friday morning.  I have a new respect for people with multiple jobs

Top Chef last night. I finally looked up what “tar tar” is after hearing it all the time – I thought it was some really gross sauce or something but apparently it’s just finely chopped raw meat or fish. I could go for some pepperoni tar tar, mos def

This UW video – kind of makes me wish I at least played football in junior high or something. I mean not really, but you get the point. I’m super excited for football this year. I also think it’s odd that my two favorite teams are “cats” and “dawgs”.

9.7 – today is a good news day, then inception tomorrow and on saturady i’ll be attending my 2nd 10 year high school reunion in 2 months. Go Braves

Currently watching…

Nothing – I gave up watching TV because it’s a waste of time. I did however play angry birds and words free (scrabble) on my phone for about 3 hours though….
Lately I’m thinking… Just a quick reminder for those of you not paying attention that it’s “worst update wednesday” – where the information is no longer just irrelevant, it’s also short.

Current Status…

9.0 – beautiful day. I’m excited for when i get to wake up to sunshine this summer though. Should be any day now

Apparently Steph tried to get Seeley to “moosh” this weekend while riding Calamity Jane. Some neighbor had to say “I think it’s mush”. I mean regardless, Seeley doesn’t know what it means thank goodness

This is really interesting…

In addition to burgers and hot dogs, I had BBQ pizza all 3 nights in Seeley Lake. NAAATTTUUURREEEE!!

Lately I’m thinking…

Fun golf tournament last night – team pink is still the overall leader. Regardless of whether I’m playing real golf, or golf that involves throwing the ball or putting backwards or something, I always seem to get a 5 or 6 on the hole. Bonus shout out to Scott for the low overall round and to Skeelo for our team low. You really sunk to a new low last night skeelo! Oh ya and I Iced Ahern

Shout out to…

Steph for painting the room this weekend!! She also convinced her mom and one of her mom’s friend to take the tandem (the closer) to via tribunali – apparently they hit a fire hydrand but other than I think it went pretty well. Oh ya and we have the 2nd of the major golf championships today, so this picture double applies. sports

This is really interesting…

Speaking of golf, I played once this weekend and actually started out well on the first hole with a birdie put…..but I ended up with a 7. It was all back to normal from there obviously

Lately I’m thinking…

Speaking of golf, shout out to everyone at the family reunion – I had an awesome time. Deadwood is fun, it’s like a super mini reno in a forest with old western shootouts and an open drink carrying policy in the hotel and casino with yard games and family members.

Currently watching…

This video – and although it’s super out of date and not really relevant to anything except college football starting in 6 weeks. It’s from the UW -notre dame game last year. On the 2nd replay watch the guy who got drilled get up and run the wrong direction. Apparently after the play he tried running to the UW bench. Good stuff all around

The new Reader of the Week….Lexie (Hicks) Johnston!! Lexican is from “memphrica” Tennessee but somehow made her way west to attend YOUR Montana State University. She is now happily married, owns a house and has a dog although rumor has it she might move to Seattle simply for the karaoke scene. Congrats on your closing today, I owe you a cocktail when you move here!

Lately I’m thinking…

This is my last time talking about scrabble I promise. Yesterday was up and down – I lost the first one of the day and Steph decided to do an obnoxious victory dance for 5 minutes. Nice move captain karma. I proceeded to win the next 2 in dominating fashion. The only really frustrating this I tried to start a new game – played ALL 7 tiles on the first play of a game for a 35 point bonus, a 57 point play of the year basically…and then realized it was against the wrong Steph. I’ve now started a game against 3 different “steph k’s”, most of whom don’t want to play me. Anyways, I’m losing right now because the game is screwing me over

I’m off to a family reunion this weekend being held in south dakota – I get in tonight at midnight and then leave Sunday morning. Mitch, see you there!!!???  Bonus shout out to Dr. Heather – her flight was canceled today and she can’t make it. At least you’re making it back to MT again this summer and I’ll see you soon as well hopefully. pizza?
