Lately I’m thinking…

Hello everyone!  Enjoy my two posts last week that I promised and never delivered?  Didn’t think so. I should go into politics.  Anyway here’s the deal, Reader of the Week can now happen any day of the week.  Awesome.  Also wanted to give some late birthday shout outs to Seeley who turned 7 (21 run) and Skeelo who turned 25 or something.

Currently Watching…

Big Monday.  In fact it’s so big, I can’t watch all of it!  Monday night they show Big 12 and Big East games on ESPN, so there are a lot of Kansas games on that night of the week.  However Monday also happens to show ‘How I met your mother’ and ‘The Bachelor’ and those both start at 8:00 PM!!  Do you realize what the means?  Yep, you have to be on one of those channels in order to record them because it can’t handle recording 2 shows while you watch another one (because that means it’s recording the other one as well in case you want to rewind).  Luckily espn360 was invented (which is awesome by the way) so at 8:00 I can flip to another channel, hit pause, and finish the basketball game online.  Then the other two shows can be watched with zero commercial interruption.  Of course last night the online game wasn’t necessary because by 8:00 Kansas had already pounded rival missouri out of the building.  On a side note, at this point in the Bachelor season this is the least mad I’ve been about watching it in probably 3 years.

Currently Watching…

The Fear Net Channel.  Does this happen to anyone else?  The TV is usually set to ESPN, and whenever I accidentally hit a button on the remote it either happens to be “On Demand” or “Channel Down” which takes me to a channel called “Fear Net” or something (that I don’t have so it’s just a subscription dialog).  Either way, those are the worst 2 things to land on because the cable box basically explodes trying to display this information in less than 10 seconds.  Going to On demand when you don’t want to is the worst, but I would say Fear Net comes in 2nd.  It usually registers my “last channel” button after 493 clicks.

Shout out to…

The Jordy’s (bad guys) who beat the Millers (good guys) in the Bonopio.com I bowl.  We jumped out to a 14 point lead but couldn’t hold it together after that.  Here is the AP story.  On a side note, the next day I felt like I participated in a UFC fight, not a no-contact flag football game.

The soapbox…

“What happened.  Did you fall in some mud or something?”
