Shout out to…

The new Reader of the Week…….Mariah Fariah Morgan!!! She just had a birthday so I figured, hey why not? Fariah is younger than all of us, but the reality is she’s more mature than everybody and 25 times more mature than tanner. Fariah enjoys nature, catching bigger fish than me, and drinking warm malibu out of the trunk of a car, chased with busch light. Come to think of it, that’s the free cocktail you’re going to win, so congratulations! (p.s. this is easily the most normal picture I have from Seeley lake, I’m guessing 10 seconds after it was taken we both got pushed down and then someone tried to build a human pyramid on top of us. Oh and nobody remembers why we call her fariah. literally, nobody)

Current Status…

10.000 – three decimal places of perfect – it’s a sunny friday, i’m wearing flip flops, iced grande chai this morning, norms for lunch with Steph and Seeley, movie tonight and I just asked for 3 out of the 4 Fridays in June off. That seems reasonable

Currently watching…

Our DVR is packed – with weeds on demand all the time I checked the dvr last night and it had 30 rock, the office, modern family, pti, a dog show and assasin in pakistan or something. I brought up canceling cable with steph again and 5 minutes after we agreed on it they showed a commercial for the bachelorette with Ali starting May 24th!! I’m seriously devastated they even brought it up, i was having such a good evening

This is really interesting…

(NOT) – I googled “blank web page” to see if one existed.  Someone pays a yearly domain fee for that. On a side note, the new google is horrible right?

The Soapbox:

Have a fun and safe weekend everyone!!!

This is really interesting…

It’s nice and sunny outside! No need for a poncho today (similar to when I wore this one for around 5 hours when it failed to rain a drop…shoot)

This article from the Billings Gazette earlier this week. Apparently a guy got sentenced for hunting without a license. His punishment? He can’t get a license for 5 years. hmmmm, is that going to work? I feel like that’s slightly encouraging the problem. That would be like if I got caught stealing from REI, and my punishment was I couldn’t buy stuff at REI for 5 years. Anyways, yes you are correct, it’s going to be one of those kind of updates

Lately I’m thinking…

Speaking of updates, pretty slow week across gadget land – I think Nebel has as many updates as anyone else. yikes. I miss the daily happenings

Shout out to…

The boys team for winning taboo last night, obviously. Ollie did a good job only saying one word every 10 seconds to ensure he wouldn’t say a buzz word. Then when he thought he overachieved enough, he would just stop and let the clock run out. “Nicholas Cage….(10 seconds)……Sean Connery….(10 seconds)….Where was it….Yep, alcatraz”. That was opposite the girls strategy of just being crazy – clue: they usually come in 3s. MacGrubers answers (being yelled of course in succession) TRIPLETS! PUPPIES! KITTTTENS!!!! I think steph was confused and thought the 4 buzzwords were actually hints for things you should say – our buzzer needs new batteries(btw this was all for a path with art board meeting, pretty constructive)

Cinco-De-Mayo

Lately I’m thinking…

I’ve figured out why my updates haven’t been very good this week – it’s because of work! We’re super busy and the only other guy on my team is out of town. So you can blame my job for the fact I’m posting a cinco de mayo pic from 4 years ago instead of trying to find a more recent one, or finding one of Paul and Fisher. Side shout out to Paul and Fisher though anyway

Shout out to…

Taco Wednesday – who would have known it would be such a hit, this will be 2 wednedays in a row and it’s a big one!

This is really interesting…

Speaking of Taco Wednesay/Cinco De Mayo – this is not a good day for your mexican restaurant sign (like the Taco Johns in Billings yesterday) to blow over!  Feliz de mayo. Feliz de mayo. I want to wish you a merry cinco from the bottom of my heart…..and from taco johhhns! WHAT A GREAT TWIST ON A CLASSIC TACO JOHNS SONG – bonus shout out to me. bam! Anyways, I hope nobody reads this sign while driving (drive thru) and thinks they’re supposed to go right through it – that’s something a silly blond would do jajajajajajaj

This is really interesting…

I usually bring my umbrella into work in the morning even though it’s not currently raining, because there’s a chance it will. Then I take it home every evening even though it’s not currently raining because I might need it tomorrow moring. And yet everytime I go to lunch I forgot to bring it with me, and by the time I leave the restaurant it’s absolutely dumping. i.e. right now

Lately I’m thinking…

(I hope this isn’t confusing) But i can’t believe that it’s already cinco de mayo tomorrow. Or Cinco De To-Mayo-w

Lately I’m thinking…

Sorry for the late and bad update – i know this isn’t looking good going into worst update of the week wednesday, but maybe I’ll have a big rush of great insightful holiday thoughts tomorrow

This is really interesting…

Got home after a really long day yesterday – Seeley jumped up to give me a hug or try to walk on two legs or something, I bent over to do something else, and bam her paw met my left eye. The blood kept trickling out for over an hour, it swelled up, and today it looks like I got in a domestic abuse dispute or something. It’s felt like there’s been an eyelash in my eye the entire day while my eye just twitches, so that’s really helping the day go by faster

Shout out to…

Mitch for sending me this website that allows you to see how any web page today would look if a 13 year old made it in 1996 with geocities – pretty classic. warning, seeing what espn would look like almost blows up the Internet, but you do get a lot of spinny gifs!

This is really interesting…

Played golf at Langdon Farms on Saturday – the one time I played there before was for a golf tournament with AuuuuBeta. I lost about 9 balls that time but it was okay because it was a scramble or something so it didn’t matter that much, besides the fact our team was just horrible. This time I only lost 1ball! I even hit 2 in the water on the same par 5, got both of them back, and saved a 7 – textbook. Looks like I wore the same shirt though.

Current Status…

Going to have to go with a 7 – yesterday was brutal until about 4 PM (stupid, stupid) and then this morning I had to get up and drive to work…from Portland. I basically have no idea what’s going on

This is really interesting…

A guy proposed to his gilfriend at Outback Steakhouse in Eugene on Saturday – i clapped.

Lately I’m thinking…

about having a better update tomorrow

The Soapbox:

Shout out to everyone in portland and extra shout to those who ran the half or full marathon. Also to Fariah who doesn’t read this but none the less has a birthday today and is slowly climbing up the ladder to being old enough to be considered an adult

Shout out to…

The new Reader of the Week….Matty Mark Miller! Miller’s birthday is May 4th, or quatro de matt-o as i like to call it. Matt enjoys velour jumpsuits, sitting by bonfires until 5 AM, and drinking twice as much as I do per sitting. Happy Birthday and enjoy your free cocktail!

Currently watching…

I saw 15 seconds of teen cribs yesterday before I switched the channel. If you ever want to get really mad, just watch a show about a bunch of 13 year old punks sliding down a waterslide from their bedroom to their own personal foam pizza & dance party (or something). Probably the worst show on TV my personal opinion

This is really interesting…

I love steph’s prius – I like the little shifter thing, I like the dashboard hologram light things and I like the fact we took it skiing on a 5 hour round trip and it used less than a half tank of gas and averaged 64 mpg the entire way home. But they have got to do something about reminding you to turn it off. Yesterday we went eat and I pushed the ‘park’ button instead of the ‘off’ button. We came out an hour later and the dashboard lights were on, meaning it was just running the whole time. Worst part is now I can’t make fun of Steph whenever she does that. oops

This is really interesting…

It’s the last day to buy discounted Path with Art tickets – click the link to do so and enter the promo code PATH09 to get the discount. It puts the “fun” in “fundraiser”. Holzer I’m looking at you

The Soapbox:

Have a fun and safe weekend everyone!! Husky spring game tonight followed by Portland tomorrow (enough time for golf) then onto Eugene to see Brett and his family, back to Portland Sunday and then Seattle Monday morning – wowzers. Have fun cycling Jakers and Joey – accidents don’t just happen, remember that. Bonus shout out to Tanner, Mikey, Maddie, Steph, Holzer, Nebel, Heather and Elie

Lately I’m thinking…

HAPPY THURSDAY! Steph and I decided to have a margarita as part of Taco Wednesday (why not) and obviously got the bottle that allows you to pour a shot in the lid (what can your bottle do?). Well all we really managed to do was spill since either the bottle or the lid has to be upside down, but I think we’ve got it figured out now

Well not reading – but it is a website. It allows you to play the original mario brothers using different characters like metroid, link, mega-man or contra! It’s unbelievable, basically you can go around as the guy from contra and shoot things with a machine gun that you usually have to jump on – total mind blower

This is really interesting…

A girl from my work won free chipotle for the whole office today – great timing too because I have about 86 cents in my checking account

This is really interesting…

I went and hit a bucket of balls at Jefferson tuesday night. My whole life I’ve always choked up on the club way too much, so I tried just holding my hands at the end of the club and hitting it that way. Wow, talk about wildy inaccurate. They all went in the air, which is actually an imrovement to my old shot, but it was a crap shoot where they were going. They wouldn’t hook or slice, they would just shoot out in every direction, mostly because I felt like I was swinging a 20 foot rubber hose or something. Anyways, pretty excited for golf this weekend….

The Soapbox:

Ty Cross is in Seattle – I’ll be grabbing a beer for happy hour if anyone wants to join us, it’s gonna be fun

I need more prom pics.

I just started browsing my summer/fall schedule – ouch. Turns out I’m going to miss *at least* half of the husky home games. On a side note, I have husky season tickets…

War and Peace. I can’t back that up. We have glass bottles of coke in the office though so I just had one of those – delicious!

Lately I’m thinking…

Well, I guess normally this would just be another reason to look forward to Saturday, only I’ll be out of town that day in Eugene where the forecast calls for….wait for it…….rain. Tanner don’t worry I talk about weather all the time too. On a side note – as far as I’m concerned that’s an actual picture of your made up brother

This is really interesting…

I washed one of my coats yesterday

This is really interesting…

Someone at work has a straight up pellet gun pistol. I don’t feel safe at all. He doesn’t shoot it at people obviously, but he shoots it at random things in the office which is usually followed by the sound of the pellet ricocheting off a couple different walls or items

This is really interesting…

Seeley “buried” her first bone last weekend. Apparently she uses her paws for just about everything, except actually getting a bone underneath the dirt. Instead she just used her nose to push dirt on it which usually ended up with her nose hitting the bone and starting over. At one point it ended up on the cement which made it even more difficult to hide. I’ll spare you the video I took of it

parts of the draft all weekend. The seahawks appeared to do really well (judging by grades that don’t mean anything until players end up playing) but some people had them as having the best draft and gave them an “A”. This picture is of blount from oregon (the guy that punched the boise state player) who was a concern because of “character issues”. In the 6th round they went live to the camera in his house and he was….sleeping. If I was just about to draft him and saw that, I’d probably just pick someone else personally.

This is really interesting…

I planned on going skiing at Steven’s last Sunday on their last day, but prom was saturday night so…I didn’t make it. But Steph and I ended up going to Mt Baker yesterday and it was frickin awesome. Sunny and 50 degrees with some new snow and fresh brews

This is really interesting…

On the drive up yesterday Steph said “I can’t believe it’s almost may,it feels like it was just april”. Uh pretty sure it “feels” that way every year

Currently watching…

Went to “Kick Ass” at the big picture saturday night – it was really good actually. On a side note – did I read somewhere they aren’t showing it in Billings because of the title?

The Soapbox:

UW-ucla game is going to be Thursday night on ESPN – that should make for a productive Friday
