This is really interesting…

well UW got absolutely pummeled by usc, which brings us to our next point…Happy Cat-griz week!  This Saturday YOUR #1 ranked team in the nation Montana State Fighting Bobcats take on the #6 ranked grazzlies in Bozeman, MT.  Forecast calls for a 60% chance of snow, although I’m getting some conflicted reports as the news calls for possible white-out conditions, while Tanner and Mikey are convinced it’s black-out conditions.

Siri.  She’s the smartest person I know.  She nailed our first 3 questions.  Steph asked just before pizza club  “Siri, what are the best pizza places in Seattle”, and she responded with a list that randomly had the place we were headed to (Kylies) #1!  I then asked her “knock, knock” and she replied with “knock knock.  who’s there.  siri.  siri who.  siri doesn’t do knock knock jokes”.  I then said I love you and she said I was a flatterer.  And she’s right!

Lately I’m thinking…

Had a great time in Portland.  Went by pretty fast so didn’t get to see everyone as long as I wanted, but enjoyed some delicious pizza at A Pizza Scholls and shot about 200 does playing buck hunter with Nebel and Mikey.

The soapbox…

I’m really happy that Zeeks pizza is now in my lunch rotation

Steph is going through a mid-life jacket crisis.  After shopping at REI she found one she liked, bought it, then decided all the reasons she liked it don’t apply anymore and ordered a new one.  Well she’s been wearing that for 2 weeks but still has the tag on it because she decided she no longer wants that one.  So she was going to get UW one but now thinks she wants a “cute” one from Nordstrom, basically identical to the one she already owns.  Anyway….my vote is just to stick with the wolf jacket, obvs.  (I just made up a new word but it doesn’t apply there so I didn’t use it.  But if someone says “do you want pizza?”  I’m going to reply with “obvsolutely”.  Wait do people already say that?  UPDATE: Moopie says no)

This is really interesting…

Just went to MOD today for lunch today after going there 3 times last week, although I’ve still had pizza everyday for lunch this week with an SPC meeting yesterday as a nice little night-cap.

Heading to Portland this weekend for the 5th time in about 8 days.  Figured I’d say hello to the in-laws, pay a visit to Nebel and Shana with Mikey in town, and hopefully watch a lot of football.

The soapbox…

Probably no update tomorrow so have a fun and safe weekend everyone!  Hard to believe we’re going for our 3rd win in a row against USC.  Cats have a bye before the big game.  Later folks

I’ve always thought I liked parmesan cheese, and in fact I usually stop putting it on my pizza because my arm is sore or it’s taking to long, not because I think it’s enough.  But it looks like Seeley the dog (who’s favorite food is also pizza) might like parmesan cheese even more than me.  She didn’t worry about being sore or time (or lids), she just kept eating parmesan until the entire thing was empty.

This is really interesting…

I think I’ve mentioned this before on here, but it’s really pretty crazy.  Seattle has more dogs than kids.  It’s actually not too far off from being almost twice as many dogs as kids.  WOWZERS

Shout out to…

Stacy Reilly who had her birthday party AND got a new car yesterday!  It was fun having you over for breakfast on Saturday, thanks for inviting me after Steph said I couldn’t be there.

This is really interesting…

When I worked at AuuuuuBeta Networks we used to go to Coliman for lunch every Thursday.  We’d call it “Mexican Fiesta” and I would wait all week for it because it meant we didn’t have to go to pho and I could have tacos instead.  (Friday was Stellar Pizza day).  Anyway, I was on the bus the other day and one of the waitresses from the restaurant remembered me and mentioned I hadn’t been in the restaurant for a while.  I haven’t been there in over 3 years!  I was definitely their favorite customer that always got 3 tacos with no lettuce.

The soapbox…

Speaking of parmesan…SPC tonight!  Heading to Kylies, a place I haven’t been to so I’m pretty jacked up.  JACKED UP

Shout out to…

a delayed thank for Colleen & Miller for having us over last week to make sushi.  It was fun AND delicious.  And as one of nicest moves of all time, I was surprised with a pizza roll (a roll.  of pizza) from Belltown pizza, which if you can get over my really weird smile you can see in the picture.  It had parmesan sprinkled on top which I thought was a pretty nice touch.  Anyway, everything the whole night was really good except for that stupid mochi ball I tried.  I’m not even sure what mochi means, but I have no idea how people get so excited about those.

Shout out to…

Molly and Ollie who got married on Saturday!  Had a wonderful time at the wedding, and I think you crazy teenagers are going to make it.  one of the highlights for me personally was hanging from the rafters dancing…

Lately I’m thinking…

you know what’s actually pretty crazy, is whoever was the first person to decide to freeze water, in order to make ice to put in a drink is actually really clever.  I mean, can you image thinking of ice cubes if nobody else had?  It would be genius!  unfortunately the genius who did come up with it probably made 0 dollars because water is free, but I’m sure they were very happy with themselves and had a full life.

Lately I’m thinking…

while I’m in deep thought mode, here’s something else.  It’s weird that people were able to talk to each other on phones before they were able to send little stupid text messages over phones.  Like if they were invented in the opposite order being able to actually hear someone’s voice as opposed to read little letters on a screen would have been would have been a huge breakthrough, people would be like “wow you’re in Iowa and I can hear you!”.  Anyway, both are pretty much obsolete now thanks to HEYTELL!!

The soapbox…

oregon won.  cool.  you guys are really cool.  Anyway, i was surprised how well your defense played and how bad our offensive line played.  In the “teams that aren’t actually evil department”, the CATS won again, and clinched at least a share of the Big Sky conference championship.

Well, well, been quite a while since an update.  I was basically in a meeting from 8:00 – 4:00 everyday last week so that put a little bit of a damper on things.  Anyway, welcome to the HALLOWEEN edition (just in time for November).  Here are our (two words back-to-back that sound the same but are spelled different.  Bac-to-bak ‘ers I’ll call em) pumpkins from Halloween.  Seeley probably did the best job out of all of us with her mini pumpkin.

This is really interesting…

Went as pizza slice to the Husky game on Saturday.  The best part was I kept hearing people say “hey there’s the pizza guy” to which I always thought to myself “yes”.  The worst part was it had mushrooms on it that wouldn’t come off, and sometimes really hungry people would just stare at me, which was kind of scary.  Thanks for the last minute costume Steph

This is really interesting…

Steph decided to join me in the “pretty much the only foods that blade likes” theme and go as a taco for the game, but at the last minute decided she wanted to wear normal clothes, so instead I just walked around the entire day carrying a taco costume as a backup.  Luckily, I did manage to get this clip before she changed, which is kind of ironic now looking back, because she actually *wasn’t* a taco when we left.

This is really interesting…

Britt saw this guy dressed up for Halloween at the grocery store on Friday night.  Basically his Halloween is my real life.

The soapbox…

Between the 4 bags of candy we bought and the 0 trick-or-treaters we had I’d say it’s a party at our house right now.

Headed to Portland this weekend for Ollie’s bachelor party – yikes.  Pretty darn excited though.  Hopefully it turns out better than last time I was in town, although Nebel and I did with the Black Cat 2011 Shuffle Board Challenge that weekend which was a pretty good accomplishment.

This is really interesting…

Steph and I just got on the family plan at AT&T for our cell phones, so you could say this marriage thing is finally official.  We were trying to figure out what plans we needed so we had the guy look up our previous usage from a couple months ago.  he said “Steph you used 750 minutes.  Blade, you used…25”.  He probably thought I didn’t have any friends, when in reality they all just use HeyTell.  Right?  Or am I in denial?  Anyway, turns out my Heytell has been broken for over a month, bust fixed it so I’m back!

Okay so I’m pretty out of it when it comes to politics, mostly because I don’t get it, but the other day Brett randomly showed me this video of the previous Godfathers CEO singing a pizza version of “imagine”.  2 days later I find out he’s running for President of the United States of America!  Total mind blower.  Pizza and politics, now that’s something I could get into.

Did you know in gmail it doesn’t matter if you use the period or not?  So blade.imsande@gmail.com is the same thing as bladeimsande@gmail.com.  Heck, even b.l.ade.im.sande@gmail.com is the same thing.  Wait, yep okay just confirmed it.  Thanks for that knowledge bomb Steph – this is a digital world and you are a digital girl.

Have a fun and safe weekend everyone!!  Ollie, it was great knowing you

Megan Ramaley for quite possibly the best present of all time – A fanny pack with speakers that hooks up to your ipod/iphone!!  Not to mention the style is pretty kick-ass anyways.  I honestly couldn’t stop smiling (or dancing) for like 3 hours straight at the tailgate on Saturday.  Those little speakers really pump out the bass too (and yes I realize that everyone who was with me all 3 of those hours wishes I had more than 7 club-bangers on my playlist, I’ll work on that).  And thanks for the shoes Ryan!

College football.  UW is now ranked in all 3 polls (coaches, AP, BCS) after scoring 38 points in the 1st half against colorado while MSU is ranked #3 nationally after avenging their only conference loss of last year to nau.  Here is a little mid-season Bobcat video for all the fans out there

This is really interesting…

The other day Steph was really proud to show us the “brand new penny” that she’d been saving “forever”.  Of course that doesn’t make any sense, but apparently they changed the back of the penny again in 2011.  Get them now while you still can before the millions of them are one day gone and you’re relegated to just looking at Steph’s little collector item.

Apparently we have rooftop decks on most of the building at work.  I’m really happy I found out about them just in time for winter.  Anyway, this is basically the weather I would prefer for tomorrow please.  (In retrospect, this picture probably would have been better closer to the railing, and possibly without the vitamin water)

Blind Pilot added a late concert to Seattle on December 2nd so Steph thought she’d surprise me and buy us tickets.  The problem is she’s pretty bad at keeping secrets so she told me about it 2 weeks ago after a husky game, then immediately regretted ruining the surprise.  Well she failed to realize this was at night after a husky game and I’m not known for having the best memory in the world.  So when the ticket came in the mail she showed them to me, I asked what they were because I had no idea, and she basically ruined the surprise again.

The soapbox…

Have a fun and safe weekend everyone!  Home games for the Huskies and Cats, I hope you can make it to one of them.  I’m getting my haircut on Sunday.  I bought a double disk Halloween CD in Portland for $1.00.  (50 cents a CD for those liberal arts majors out there).  One of the disks dominates.  One could just be renamed “noises”.  SPC dominated last night, noticed a little different beer scene with meetings on Thursday as opposed to Wednesday.

Well big Cat victory over in Portland last weekend.  According to the MT affiliate stations the ol’ bobcat make an appearance (seen here in 2007 – wow that’s a long time ago).  I was thinking that would probably be my last time wearing it, but just realized Cat-griz also happens to…happen before I turn 30.  After looking at Christmas tickets I came to the realization I won’t be able to go back for Cat-griz, so looks like I’ll be watching that here at The Spot – sorry Mikey & Tanner.  Or is it you’re welcome Mikey and Tanner?  Anyway Portland was a blast, good to see Nebel, Shana, and Holzer.  I think I’ll be ready to do it again in 2 years.

Lately I’m thinking…

Did I get a flu shot yesterday?  Or did Mike Tyson punch me repeatedly in the left arm?

So I know I don’t usually post Florida Marlins news, but…it’s a slow news day here on the gadget.  Apparently this is their new logo, and if that isn’t bad enough this little guy (scroll down to the animation) is what’s going to happen in center field every time they hit home run.  In my opinion you should also get a stuffed animal to give to a teammate or girlfriend when hitting one out.

Lately I’m thinking…

SPC at Stellar Pizza tonight!  Speaking of SPC, check out our (still a work in progress) http://seattlepizzaclub.com website.  We’re so official it’s ridiculous.  On a side note, I own more domain names than I do matching pairs of socks

The soapbox….

Last night at around 7:00PM the forecast changed from it raining today through Sunday to being sunny today through Sunday.  Although I’m not very confident seeing as how easily it changed in the first place, I’ll definitely take it, especially with a UW home game on Sat.

Shout out to…

the Cats who beat Sac State at home (who last week beat the griz and took MSU to overtime last year) which I watched on a painful to quite painful online telecast on my laptop and the Dawgs who won convincingly on the road (ro-ads, roods) at Utah.  I watched at home with Steph (on an actual TV!) and Bonar who both decided extra noise from a guitar would be helpful.  It was a little chaotic but I’d say football in general has been more fun to watch this year than let’s say oh 3 years ago.  (bonus shout to Moopie for this photo)

Lately I’m thinking…

about whether I’m too old to wear the bobcat suit this weekend in Portland.  Part of me feels like I am, but then I think about it and I’m like “well 30 years old is probably the cutoff, and I’m only 29”.  I asked Tanner and he said the cutoff was more like 40 years old so I’m not sure if that was helpful or not.

Shout out to…

Steve Klitz on his birthday yesterday.  Since he’s working in Olympia and Cyndi was helping Brett semi-move to our place in Seattle it meant we got to celebrate with dinner at Jaks and some homemade ice cream from Steph that never quite made it past the liquid stage.  I would definitely give it a B+ for effort though.

This is really interesting…

I’ve went to REI 5 times in the last 9 days.  I personally have zero belongings to show for it, which is probably good?

Here are my favorite seasons in order from best to worst:  (Seattle) Summer, fall, winter, spring – whoa weird those are in order, it’s basically just a steady drop until things shoot back up.  (Montana)  Summer, winter, fall, spring.  That was fun.  Feel free to tell me yours sometime.  good talk
