Lately I’m thinking…

Well I’ve known for years that my golf game was going downhill but Saturday was a pretty good reminder of where I was at. I lost over 1 golf ball per hole until about the 12th, so I roughly have one left. At one point there were people watching us tee off so I decided to hit my driver even though I knew for a fact I would slice it in the woods simply because I didn’t want to risk hitting my 5 wood 8 feet straight up into the air or off the toe and into their cart. I feel like with the driver I could at least hit it in the air and then act like i was shocked it sliced. Well turns out I hit it 20 yards straight left on the ground into a ravine, which I repeated exactly on the muligan shot. The one par I managed was on a closest to the pin contest so at least I didn’t lost all my money too I guess. I think I play better in flip flops, a little hung over with a road cocktail, but I guess I’ll have to settle with a sober 107 with golf shoes and a tucked in shirt. Oh ya and I’m sore

This is really interesting…

For the most part I don’t really like purchasing new items, but right now there are about 5 big ticket things I really want, like a fly rod, skis, a couple golf clubs (like that’s the problem…), and oh ya, power blinds!

Lately I’m thinking…

I can’t believe that “3D TV” is the new big thing now. I mean weren’t there 3D movies when I was like 8? I know a personal TV is a lot different than a movie theatre, but you still need to wear funny glasses. I mean it’s 20-frickin-10. If you asked me 15 years ago what we would have in 2010 I would have either said flying cars or people coming over to your house to hang out via hologram, definitely not a convenient way to watch 1983’s “jaws 3d” at home.

Shout out to…

The Klitz’s, Nebel and Holzer – it was good to be in Portland for a weekend and see everyone.

The Soapbox:

Montana Fun Fact of the Day: (btw this is the last week of MT fun facts, as I get the feeling they aren’t that fun anymore, and in today’s case, not really facts either) “The ‘Going to the Sun Road’ in Glacier Park is considered one of the most scenic drives in America. “
