This is really interesting…

This is what I wore for Whirly Ball Saturday night – it seems like you just don’t see a lot of people wear a mascot costume (bobcats) with a different team’s jersey (kansas) over it anymore. Anyways when we got there there (crap there x2) were only about 12 people there we didn’t know, and one guy had a griz coat on! I walked up and said “griz coat huh, do you know I root for?” He said “no”, and then I calmy pulled my jersey aside to show him my 3 “Go Cats!” stickers on my suit. He started laughing and then a guy came over with a Montana State sweatshirt and pointed and laughed at him. Anyways, moral of the story is out of about 30 people at Whirly Ball in Edmonds, WA there was a griz guy, a CATS guy, and a guy wearing a CATS costume (me).

unc completely nose dive this season. They kind of remind me of when Kansas won the national championship and then lost 4 guys to the NBA and had to rebuild. Oh wait, I guess they don’t – Kansas won the Big 12 the next year. Oh ya and Kansas lost 5 guys to the nba, not 4. Anways, pretty big game at Texas tonight for those of you looking for something to watch before the Bachelor starts.

Sticking with the sports theme a little bit, I think someone needs to write a manual about when it’s appropriate for fans to rush the court. I feel like it used to happen a couple times a year or something, but now seems to happen a couple times a week. When i see something like #18 Michigan Tech rush the court after beating #14 Minnesota State I feel like calling the school AD and then hanging up or something.

I woke up Saturday morning knowing that I needed to take Seeley to the dog park. I decided one way to start the day off right would be to break out the cocoa-motion. So I walked upstairs hoping for a cold day and it was already about 48 and sunny. I figured that was still cold enough though and fired her up. When it was done I poured it in Steph’s aluminum UW bottle, but I dont’ think that’s meant for hot things because it made the bottle too hot to hold, I had to carry it by the lid. So basically I couldn’t drink it until it cooled down because you can’t hold it by the lid to drink when you have to take the lid off – so about 10 minutes later at the park i finally decided to give it a go. Unfortunately a muddy pit bull with apparently no training jumped on my lap and licked opening of the bottle. I was about 93% sure I wasn’t going to drink of out it anymore when he knocked the whole bottle into the mud and seeled the deal. Better luck next time I suppose. (It was still fun watching the cocoa-motion mix the milk and cocoa mix using magnetic waves and shut off at the perfect temperature of course)

Shout out to…

Heather on her Birthday..day (seen here in a helmet apparently in her own fantasy world). Heather is really smart and talented basically because I taught her everything. Unfortunately Heather has already been reader of the week, and I can’t give it to her twice before Steph has even it once or I’ll be in big trouble, so Reader of The Week will resume next Friday. Have a fun weekend Heather, see you in May for graduation (the plane tickets are non-refundable, so don’t blow it)

Wow, GREAT early morning round of gadgets, what a great day. Hard to believe stalwart (first time word usage, not even sure if it applies) Joey is the only one who hasn’t updated yet. Maybe he put so much stuff in the soapbox yesterday that him and his computer just blew up? I like this line from Nebel’s about the MSU game being played in pullman: “WSU is lame on a number of different levels. Ryan Leaf being at the top of the list. Having the game in Pullman just adds to their already shitty mystique.” I can’t read it without laughing

Steph and I went to grab a bite to eat last night (her phone misteriously died when I was going to have her pick up piecoras) and I figured I’d enjoy a nice rum and coke with the meal. The first time they brought it out I’m pretty sure it was tequilla-coke, so I had her try it again. The next time it came out it was Malibu-coke, which i guess despite their best efforts to screw up is at least a kind of rum. Anyways it was terrible and Steph just made fun of me the whole time.

I put a Montana State Bobcats sticker in the back window of the Jeep last week, only the window is so tinted and dirty that you can’t see if from outside. You can however see how crooked it is from inside, which is really distracting and annoying. Maybe I should just get a FTG license plate and call it a day? Or does Maddie already have washington rights on that as well? I’m just excited for bobby hauck to be cruising around Vegas one day and see Maddie in his jeep

The Soapbox:

Have a fun and safe weekend everyone!! Hopefully I can stop talking about this soon, but still no idea what’s going on with my foot. I called Swedish and made them send X-ray results to my doctor, since they couldn’t tell me what they were, then called my doctor who conveniently only works M-W. So the receptionist tried giving me the results, which i’m not even sure is legal. This is how it went: “Uh it says you have a crack in the meta-tri-carpel-tunnel-osmosis-quadra-lat-rotary-girter….and I don’t know what that means”. Anyways I might have to go to a specialist on Monday. I’m basically just co-paying anyone in the greater Seattle area who wants to take a “crack” at telling me what’s wrong

Shout out to…

The new Reader of the Week – Jon “JB” Brown!! Jon is married to the lovely Stacie Brown who it appears might have failed to change her maiden name, we might never know. JB is a fellow ‘how i met your mother’ fan and is rooting for a big Bobcat victory this weekend – Congrats on your free cocktail and instant fame

Seems like times they are a changing. I used to attend the CAT-griz games in person, then when i moved I would go to sluggers with a bunch of people at like 9 in the morning. Now it seems nobody I know is going to sluggers, so I’m probably going to a bobcat satellite bar in Renton with…..2 of my mom’s friends – at least 1 of whom can probably party harder than me. Oh well, I might just wear the bobcat suit there, tie one one and call it a day

This is really interesting…

We’re basically putting Seeley through private school

Shout out to…

Everyone attending the game tomorrow and everyone watching it on TV – I hope to be in touch. Temporary anti-shout out to mitch who is on his way to cabo….jerk. You’re going to be the tannest guy at the village inn buffet of christmas!

Have a fun and safe weekend everyone!! Go Cats!! RARRR!

Check out this giant inflatable balloon with Santa in it. I made steph get in the picture as a reference for how big it is. After I took the picture Steph casually mentioned “there’s a zero percent chance you can get that and put it up in the yard”. It’s not going in our yard steph, it’s going in our living room

The latest “40 yard dash” by Pat Forde on espn.com. He hands out some midseason awards which includes a nonimation of washington as most dramatic team of the year. By far the best part about the article is him choosing university of montana coach bobby hauck as “Bum” of the half year. classic

Steph and I went to napa autoparts yesterday because both brake lights are out in the ol’ liberty. As we were outside examinng the brake lights trying to figure out how on earth we were going to get them off, a couple of employees were working on other cars right next to us, but didn’t offer to help. After trying to read the owners manual for about 5 minutes we decided to just go in and ask. Well apparently we spent too long trying to figure out what the heck was going on….because it had closed 4 minutes earlier.

Dominos (btw i haven’t ordered it since college i don’t think, but i might soon) has a deal where one large pizza and “cinna-sticks” are 6 dollars. As a disclaimer they say “limit of 256 per household”. A) where on eath did they come up with that number 2. the pizzas wouldn’t seem very cheap if you spent over $1500 dollars for it C) this would be a great opportunity for maddie and i to try our pizza delivery boat service!
