Lately I’m thinking…

well usually you don’t feel too accomplished after walking 3 miles (even though it WAS for charity and involved some uphill), but running (well, walking) through a bunch of cheerleaders gets you pretty fired up.  We should hire some for kickball next year

This is really interesting…

I drove to work yesterday, then at around 3:00 I got a text from Steph saying she could give me a ride home, so I was like “great!”.  Later last night we were basically convinced my car was stolen when we couldn’t find it.  Turns out I had just left it in the garage at work, I guess so I would have it today? I’m looking forward to leaving this afternoon with a garage ticket from yesterday morning…it’s probably on sale.

Shout out to…

Not only is October Halloween Month – it’s also pizza month!  Wow, I knew October was fun, but I didn’t know it was this fun.  On a side note, did you know that more pizzas are ordered on Halloween than any other day of the year?  More than on super bowl Sunday.  Fun fact…..BAM!

Current Status…

10!  Off to Portland in a couple hours to meet up with some MT folk.  Oh ya and I had MOD today

The soapbox…

“You know what I should pack?”  “Toilet paper and water”

This is really interesting…

Seattle Pizza Club (SPC) is officially started (meaning we have a Facebook page, things just got real).  It’s so hot right now, i’m super excited.  We’ll start to add people as the page finalizes.  I’m also excited because my favorite Seattle pizza place, piecoras, is between number 5-6 on Jay and Scott’s list, and the majority of ones they have above it I haven’t tried, so it could be a pizza discovery explosion out there for me.  I feel good about this team…lot of talent.

This is really interesting…

speaking of pizza, tutta bella is offering a free pizza all week.  No catch or restrictions, just go in and it’s one free pizza per table.  BAM SPC!

This is really interesting…

In the last month I’ve bought 3 flags.  I currently don’t even have “a” flag pole or “a” flag pole holders though, let alone many flag poles and holders that would necessitate an entire flag collection.

Currently Watching…

I totally blew it and forgot to set up a series recording of bachelor pad, so I didn’t have it on DVR last night, meaning we have to watch it online with commercials (probably downstairs because of the heat which also means setting the speakers back up ahhh).  So instead we watched Hard Knocks (those HBO shows totally dominate).  I mean, I guess I should always just say I watched something like hard knocks when considering admitting to watching a bachelorette type show, but what can ya do.

The soapbox…

Side shout out to Austin Sefarian-Jenkins

Shout out to…

Holzer, Nate, Shana & the Klitz’s for another fun time in Portland.  We ate at “apizza scholls” and it was easily the best pizza I’ve had in portland.  Oh and somehow nebel got roped into signing “like a prayer” by madonna with me at the pengiun.  I think he traditionally likes to rock a little harder than that.  “Likes to rock?”

Shout out to…

Birthday shout out to Dan Buri who turns the big 2-9 today!!

Currently Reading…

This article (thanks JB) about the ref from the super bowl the seahawks were in a couple years ago admitting he kind of blew it.  I guess he apologized to the team at camp last week.  My favorite was when hasslebeck threw an interception, then tackled the guy who intercepted it but was called for a “low block”, since apparently you’re not allowed to tackle the guy with the ball.  Oh on a side note the mariners are 22 games out of first place and just fired their manager.

Shout out to…

Mikey Ouert for buying his plane ticket for Seattle the last weekend of October.  Check out this lineup and then consider buying a ticket for yourself:  Karaoke, UW-stanford football, Halloween

The soapbox…

Happy Monday everyone

Lately I’m thinking…

no reader of the week this week as this is a super late update.  Next week for sure though!

Currently Reading…

Here’s a link to Steph’s post on my pizza eating for the new blog readers out there – pretty good stuff

This is really interesting…

Steph’s out of town but made it very clear I mail a package for her as soon as I possibly could.  So I took it to work yesterday, taped it all up, and then went to the post office to fill in the address.  Turns out it’s a Seattle address, about 1 mile from our kickball game that night.  I texted her to see if i should just drop it off but didn’t hear back in time so I mailed it.  So basically I paid $8.00 to have it shipped to a place that would take 1 extra day then me just dropping it off that afternoon.  I’m probably the first person in united states history to mail a package to someone in their same city

Shout out to…

Some newbies Mike Self and big Jim Miller for showing up to karaoke last night.  I had an awesome time.  There were these 2 girls there who were totally ringers, probably the best singers I’ve ever heard who did a bunch of songs.  And what was their last request??  “Anything for love” by meatloaf.  Well it’s safe to say since I was in charge and had a microphone that my name snuck into that lineup.  Oh and Bone City dominated, obviously.  I went 3-3, 3R and caught 3 pop-ups, no bid deal.

The soapbox…

Have a fun and safe weekend everyone!!  “Well, I have a microphone, and you don’t, SO YOU WILL LISTEN TO EVERY DAMN WORD I HAVE TO SAY!”  UPDATE:  This is my 200th gadget-blog update, congrats everyone who read more than one

This is really interesting…

I’m going on a 4 day fishing/camping trip with 14 guys from Steph’s extended family tomorrow – pretty casual. I just hope that everyone knows going into this thing that my idea of “roughing it” involves singing karaoke at the filling station bar in Seeley Lake with some sort of an animal shirt on. NAATTTUUUURRRREEEE

Lately I’m thinking…

I’m going to have MOD pizza for lunch because I don’t think I’ll have pizza again until Sunday night at the earliest! My plan of “playing it cool” on this trip does not include bringing a frozen pizzas unfortunately

Lately I’m thinking…

The #1, #2, and #3 reasons why I one day want to have a water filter is the ability to make nature-ades (nature water, gatorade mix and vodka)

This is really interesting…

I finally got a haircut and I’m taking the train for the first time tonight (to portland). ooops, sorry, i thought this section was “not interesting and unrelated”

The Soapbox:

Assuming the campsite doesn’t have computers and wi-fi I’m out Thursday and Friday, so have a fun and safe weekend everyone!! I hope summer is here by the time I get back. If not I’ll just go to vegas for the weekend

Joey and I just put down about 19 pieces of village inn – turns out you now get a free pop with a buffet too – wowzers! (btw this is a picture from the Internet, it’s not snowing here, although I could actually go for some snow if it meant blue skies)

Currently watching…

that umpire from last night ruin everyone’s day – even the guy who got on base looked devastated. That’s one of the reasons why I just never swung at the ball (unless it was a pitching machine) in baseball, mostly only bad things can happen

Shout out to…

Steph and Seeley the Dog – miss you guys already.

This is really interesting…

It just started raining here – can’t a guy get a break? I’ve got an outdoor party and a BBQ to go to here people

The Soapbox:

sat next to a fat guy on the plane…shocker. In front of me was a guy in an MSU hat and a guy in a um hat. I was hoping they would throw down but they didn’t even talk. I guess i wouldn’t talk to a guy in a griz hat either – CATS!

This is really interesting…

I’m leaving for Billings tonight – high school reunion 2010 is on Saturday (this is me, paul, and sloan sometime in high school. Fun Fact: I wore jeans 0 days in all of high school). So far I have the Village Inn buffet tomorrow (who’s coming with me – mitch, joe, jakers?), pizza lunch with Mom on Friday, and “Alive After Five” tomorrow eveing? Can we take bikes? Do I get a dot? someone should probably just tell me how things go down in the magic city these days, but I’m excited for it.

This is really interesting…

Well I scheduled a haircut appointment, then called them back an hour later and canceled it. Then 2 hours later I tried calling and getting it back but it was already gone. I have some serious issues with decisions that aren’t really that important sometimes. I need flashcards or something to practice just picking an option quickly

Currently watching…

This video from work last Friday. We wanted to shoot a flaming dart across the office – we obviously have a long way to go, but it was a good effort.

Currently watching…

Well as Steph mentioned it’s apparently more money to cancel cable and then get it back in the fall than just keeping what we have – so cable stays. I watched wipeout last night – I didn’t think it would be that funny because I’m more mature this year, but i practically died laughing like 7 times. classic stuff. Now my legs, arms AND abs are sore. p.s what do you call abs if you don’t have any abs? midsection? I mean I guess I have them, you just can’t see them. I’ll just stick with abs

The Soapbox:

“what about our kids, they’ve taken everything they’ve got too.” …. “Then, by God we take it back!”

This is really interesting…

I’m super sore – Sunday I went skiing and apparently it’s the first time I’ve ever done that judging by how well my legs are working today, and yesterday we put 66 stones down on the side of our house. I’m skinny. (click here for a quick before and after if you’re bored)

This is really interesting…

I really need to get a haircut before my reunion, I look like a shaggy dog. Just called my place though and the only person who can do it today is a girl in “training”. I’m torn, i don’t really know what to do – risk it or just leave it? Maybe just buy a hat – that seems to solve the problem either way

Currently watching…

The Bachelorette obvs, and the season finale of Tough Love Couples. That’s over so it means we can now officially go down to basic cable. During the finale of that show they shot a ton of white confetti all over after the marriage. Steph then asked “whoa are those birds?”, apparently wondering if they arranged to release 1 million white doves to go take over san diego

Lately I’m thinking…

There’s nothing worse than when your next door neighbor gets pizza delivered

The Soapbox:

Here was my Saturday morning – I was super productive and didn’t get anything done. Got up at 7:40 and took Seeley to the park (good start), then decided I would take coffee to steph at one of her showings, only she left 1 minute before I got there. Then I drove to greenwood to talk to “Greenwood Heating and Cooling” about air conditioning. Got to greenwood and realized they were actually located less than a mile from my house in SODO….not greenwood at all….jerks. Figured I’d at least get a mr. gyro out of my trip there and turns out they were…closed for memorial day weekend. So went to Red mIll, oh ya that’s right, spent all of my cash Friday night at the bars and on cabs, and they don’t take cards, so had to leave there too. Seeley and I then just decided to go home where we saw Steph, who had worked for 3 hours that day and still beat me home. We decided to go to El Camino for lunch, but since I was having such bad luck I double checked the website to make sure they were open first. Drove to fremont and….closed. website hours were wrong. Decided later just to go to the actual “greenwood” heating and cooling in SODO and…..closed…on a saturday. Thanks for listening

The new Reader of the Week……Kara Rowton!!! Here’s a picture of Kara and Katie “walking” from Seattle U to IHOP. It was a pretty straight shot through campus so I’m not sure why they were having so many problems. Kara is getting married to Stephen this summer in Billings – btown represent. Kara went to MSU (CATS!) and then seattle U for lawyer school. I now owe you 1 regular priced cocktail, let’s hang out!! (p.s. sorry about the picture it’s the only thing i had available mostly)

This is really interesting…

I’m not going anywhere for memorial day weekend, which I’m pretty excited about. Although I could go for some weather more towards the summer side and less towards the end of january side. I think I got seasonal depression disorder or something last night, and then woke up with a minor headache trying to cure it with some coke and some rum. I need the summer to get here even more than LFO does

This is really interesting…

I’m going to Billings next week for a Village Inn pizza reunion – it’s been too long since VIP and I saw each other. It also happens to be my 10 year high school reunion – yikes! Should be fun though….and delicious

Lately I’m thinking…

Only one more episode of “tough love couples” before we can cancel cable.

The Soapbox:

Have a fun and safe extended weekend everyone!! Mikey if you’re reading this your test is over, good job. Buy yourself a beer for me, put it on Tanner’s tab. Bonus shout out to Farnatron who is in town this weekend!! That gets the ‘thumbs up’ and ‘ok’ sign from me

Reginas pizza & Steph, totes obvs.

This is really interesting…

Well june is shaping up to be an “adventure”. I’m going to be gone from work 6 days, and that’s with no more than 2 days at a time! Vegas, California & Montana – I’m surprised they didn’t have some kind of package for that or something. Anyway I’ve just been assuming it would calm way down after that, until I realized that independence day is the next weekend after. Uh oh. On a side note, I might want to work on my resume for good measure

This is really interesting…

Seeley ate a whole wheel of cheese last night. I’m not sure if she was hyper this morning, or just really anxious to get outside and drop some nature bombs

Shout out to…

Maddie – wow after seeing your gadget and then processing it for about 5 minutes I just pieced together that you live in vegas and I will be going there. It’s June 24th, I’ll keep you posted. No bowling for me though, obviously

The Soapbox:

Come to Wedgewood tonight and someone will buy you a drink!!!! (probably)  UPDATE:  4 seconds after I posted this I found out karaoke is canceled tonight due to “lack of karaoke equipment”.  Check back 2 weeks from now as it’s scheduled every other Thursday
