Shout out to…

The Reader of the Week…..Ladies and gentlemen….Tanner Keil! Nebel, Mikey or Demaris would announce that on the mic every time Tanner walked into the Legion – classic. It also happens to be Tanner’s bday tomorrow, so don’t forget to call him at midnight tonight just to say hello. Tanner rarely, if ever, makes good decisions, but I think he’s actually tricked himself into believing that he’s going to turn the corner any day now. I’ll give you your free cocktail after Snow Joke, courtesy of the Filling Station – that’s just a little more incentive for me to actually finish the race. Happy Bday!!

This video a player (Sylvester) on the UW football team made in high school. A lot of you don’t know who he is, and it’s kind of hard to understand what he’s saying, but the hits are just hilarious. There’s no way that nobody got hurt making it.

This is really interesting…

Steph and I were going to go this Belgianfest beer tasting thing with our neighbors tomorrow, but the tickets are sold out! But since we were already planning on a few beers during the day, we just decided to do our own Georgetown pub crawl at 12:00 PM…why not? who’s coming with us?

This is really interesting…

I went to an exhibit at the Frye Art Museum last night for a Path with Art event and then heard a local artist (Faye Jones) give a lecture about her work and process. The moral of the story (besides me being educated, well cultured, and kind of a big deal) is Heather, I want you to draw me a lot more pictures. Thanks in advance!!

The Soapbox:

Have a fun and safe weekend everyone!! I’m going to try and run 5 miles tomorrow. I went to Piecoras last night and after I put parmesan on my slices the wait came over, starred at it, and then said “uhh was that intentional?”

Lately I’m thinking…

Hey Mitch, remember that one time when you made me sing at your wedding and I fell down during the first 20 seconds and broke that microphone?

This is really interesting…

Yesterday Stephanie was trying to think of the name of a restaurant, and the only hint she could give me was that it started with an “L”. I obviously couldn’t figure it out, then she remembered it was mexican. So I was like “El Camino”? and she was like “Yeah!”. Then I said “umm i know that sounds like it starts with an ‘L’, but it actually starts with an ‘E’. And she said “I never said that”, and I was like “uh ya you did, they spell it ‘EL'”, Turns out she actually said “El” all along, I just heard it as “L”!!!! Hahah ummm……….

Lately I’m thinking…

If you’re still reading this, and I would be shocked if you are, then you should probably bail

This is really interesting…

I had MOD pizza for lunch and I’m having Zaw pizza for dinner. Today was a good day. (Anyone know any other 3 letter pizza places I should try today??)

The Soapbox:

Well you know what they say, “Not every gadget can be your best one, but it seems like every gadget could be your worst one”. …..I made that up

Shout out to…

The first Reader of the Week in 2010….Joseph Soueidi! Joey and I went to every school together since we were one year old, which includes the school of hard knocks. We actually have this same picture of us when we were 2. Joe has adult braces but should be getting them off soon. I figured since you have Monday off i would go ahead and make this the best weekend of your life by featuring you today. Sorry you didn’t win before Christmas which would have given me lots of time to buy you a cocktail, but thanks for all the Ronrico and Mr Boston rum. Click here to see a photo that shows we’re more than just tough guys. Go America!

Current Status…

10 easily! I was kind of hung over this morning (thanks AJ and Miller) but all of a sudden got really hyper and felt great! Now I’m off to MOD pizza and then dinner tonight with miss Stephanie

The husky football blog – i made my first comment on it yesterday and skeelo saw it. On the Internet! I’m really glad Sark is staying. I’m also excited that Lane Kiffen is in the Pac-10. Here was a quote the LA times got from an anonymous assistant during the early Pete Carroll years: “Chow schemed plays, Sark developed quarterbacks, and Lane got the coffee”

Shout out to…

(kind of) Britt Hesse who told me about groupon.com. Basically they email you a deal every day. It started out promising with a pizza deal, but since then the two offers have been “50% off Electrolysis” and “Up to 57% off Trapeze Class”. It’s the “Up to” part that concerns me, as those deals always turn out to be way less

The Soapbox:

Have a fun and safe weekend everyone! Couple quick hitters: Went to the UW game last night and it was a dunk fest. I’m never going in Seeley Lake again without pants and shoes. I’ve ran 3 miles since my last half marathon and I was sore for 3 days. The next half marathon is in a month. Instead of “running” it I might try instead to set the MT state record for fastest time driving a half marathon.  Holzer our reunion is June 4th!

Lately I’m thinking…

I need some new pictures. I’ll try to get some from Steph’s camera or something. Maybe from the Internets, not sure if i’ll have time.

I think this boise state band member could use just a little bit more cowbell enthusiasm (click here)

This is really interesting…

I usually stop shaking parmesan onto my pizza because my arm gets tired, not because I’ve added as much as I want

Lately I’m thinking…

Have you ever noticed how a lot of celebrities have twitter names like “theRealJayWillams”, or “theRealShaq”, because imposters took over their actual names like “jayWilliams” or “shaq”? How long until the imposters start just taking celebrities names with “theReal” in front of it? I’m concerned at one point we’re going to hear somebody say something like ‘yo follow me on twitter, @noSeriouslyI’mTheRealKobeIHaveABirthmarkOnMyLeftCheekAskMyMom’

The Soapbox:

uh yep, that’s my gadget performance for the day, sorry

Here’s a picture of Seeley taking the cab home from the skee lodge. Apparently it’s a rule that every cab driver in the city is required to take dogs. Seems kind of ridiculous to me, but oh well, that means the party scene for Seeley is probably about to blow up.

Lately I’m thinking…

Sorry for the no update on Friday – the updates are going to be pretty sparse until I get back to Seattle.

This is really interesting…

After two nights of going out in Billings my total combined bar tab was…….$4.00. I’m also averaging 6 slices of village inn per day. You could say this trip is going strong, to quite strong.

Lately I’m thinking…

Paul is ridiculous. So is Levi. I used my badass knife for the 2nd time last week….to cut open our house plant container. Ever since i started flossing regularly there’s tons of space between my teeth and tons of food is getting stuck here. I’m surprised they don’t recommend NOT flossing. I saw a prius the other day with a tow hitch on it, not sure how effective that would be?

The Soapbox:

On the flight in we stopped in helena to drop some people off and pick some people up. Just as we were about to leave (the door was shut, electronics off etc.) the lady announced the toilet was frozen, and if anyone had to use the bathroom they needed to do it there. So 10 people got up and were let back into the helena airport. Ridiculous. Oh, and helena to billings is a 35 minute flight

Thanksgiving Edition

Shout out to…

The Reader of the Week, Miss Mary McRae! I’ll be thinking about you over the holiday weekend and am super excited to be home with the family over Christmas. You not only win a free cocktail, but also a village inn pizza, which I may or may not take out of the allowance I get for the night. Love you!

Shout out to…

Also a bonus shout out to all the readers of the daylight savings times. I’m thankful you’re my friends and I’m going to pick you up next time I see you. Heather I’ll see you at Christmas for some holiday pizza and tacos.

Lately I’m thinking…

“Buzz I’m going through all your stuff, you better come out and pound me”. Yep, Home Alone season starts tomorrow! I’ll be taking the dvd and my kansas snuggie with me to the Klitz residence – who wants to hang out? “Ma’am, I’m eight years old. You think I would be here alone? I don’t think so.”

This is really interesting…

I just seriously made up a joke – i’m going to try it out here – Q: How do you cook a parrot? A: Make sure you pre-parrot first with glaze and stuffing. Get it? “prepare it” HAHHA personally i’ve laughed out loud 3 times in a row

The Soapbox:

Have a safe and fun thanksgiving everyone! (RHYME ALERT bee boo bee boo) Wow who knew, all i had to do (rhyme) was switch the safe and fun around and i’d have a rhyme every time (rhyme).   Go Huskies

The new Reader of the Week – Jon “JB” Brown!! Jon is married to the lovely Stacie Brown who it appears might have failed to change her maiden name, we might never know. JB is a fellow ‘how i met your mother’ fan and is rooting for a big Bobcat victory this weekend – Congrats on your free cocktail and instant fame

This is really interesting…

Seems like times they are a changing. I used to attend the CAT-griz games in person, then when i moved I would go to sluggers with a bunch of people at like 9 in the morning. Now it seems nobody I know is going to sluggers, so I’m probably going to a bobcat satellite bar in Renton with…..2 of my mom’s friends – at least 1 of whom can probably party harder than me. Oh well, I might just wear the bobcat suit there, tie one one and call it a day

This is really interesting…

We’re basically putting Seeley through private school

Shout out to…

Everyone attending the game tomorrow and everyone watching it on TV – I hope to be in touch. Temporary anti-shout out to mitch who is on his way to cabo….jerk. You’re going to be the tannest guy at the village inn buffet of christmas!

The Soapbox:

Have a fun and safe weekend everyone!! Go Cats!! RARRR!

The other night we were going to have chicken and potatoes for dinner, but steph took the chicken out pretty late and by the time dinner was about to roll around she was “worried about our health if we ate the chicken”. So instead she made me wait upstairs while she improvised, apparently making the classic italian-asian-irish dish: pizza, potatoes and pot stickers. well, she pulled it off anyway

Well Kansas didn’t look very sharp last night, but at least they got the win. I actually forgot how much I don’t enjoy watching college basketball and how much it stresses me out. I get nervous watching high school teams I’ve never even heard of, let alone teams i’m rooting for. I liked the quote from the new 1st year memphis coach Pastner after the game: “I can tell you this for sure: I’m 32 but I’m getting out at 35. I don’t know how these coaches coach until they’re 70. It’s unbelievable.”

I’m sure a couple of you read earlier in the week that scientists confirmed they found water on the moon. Well in case you were wondering how we might get it – how about a SPACE ELEVATOR! Click the link son

(not) – there’s a website for my student loans that I need to go to about twice a year. Every time I go to log in I can’t remember the password, so it makes me reset it. Only for some completely ridiculous reason, it won’t let me use a password i’ve ever used before (which is all the passwords i know), so each time i have to make up something completely new which i’ll obviously forget by the next time i go there. So it’s back through the process again…every…single…time – make up a new completely random password, forget it, rinse and repeat

This week’s (and the first) Reader of the Week Sweepstake Winner: Mitchell Thompson!! Mitch lives in Billings with his lovely wife Lisa and their dog snowpuff. He enjoys village inn buffets with Blade and Ave F gang parties. Fun Facts: We went to every school together (one year apart) and found out at a family reunion we’re distant cousins or something. Our parents also went to school together. Hopefully you won this far enough in advance that you’ll forget I owe you a cocktail by Christmas break.

This is really interesting…

BLOGGGG!!!! I started a blog – mostly to save gadget updates, but hopefully for some other good stuff too. Click here to see it. You’ll find the last 2 months or so on there which is when i started saving them – unfortuntely even looking back they’re still not that funny. Anyways, I’m still going to update the gadget every day, obvs to the max!

This is really interesting…

It’s Friday the 13th! Is it just me or does that happen all the time? When I was young I thought it was the craziest ‘what are the chances’ thing in the world. Now i’m pretty sure it happens every other Friday – at least. Regardless, I’m going to try and do something crazy today – maybe try to catch that squirrel i’ve been meaning to catch.

Currently watching…

College Basketball is officially kicking off this weekend – wow! college bball, college football and nfl action. Steph’s requests for another TV should skyrocket over the next couple months. Actually, I may make a chart of it if i’m not too busy watching college basketball all the time. Whoa, i just realized how late in the year it is – even hearing tanner point that out didn’t register at the time. I need a Christmas list or something! (btw my mom already sent me hers…)

The Soapbox:

Have a fun and safe weekend everyone!! Check back next Friday for a new edition of Reader of the Week – everyone’s a winner!

Check out this giant inflatable balloon with Santa in it. I made steph get in the picture as a reference for how big it is. After I took the picture Steph casually mentioned “there’s a zero percent chance you can get that and put it up in the yard”. It’s not going in our yard steph, it’s going in our living room

The latest “40 yard dash” by Pat Forde on espn.com. He hands out some midseason awards which includes a nonimation of washington as most dramatic team of the year. By far the best part about the article is him choosing university of montana coach bobby hauck as “Bum” of the half year. classic

Steph and I went to napa autoparts yesterday because both brake lights are out in the ol’ liberty. As we were outside examinng the brake lights trying to figure out how on earth we were going to get them off, a couple of employees were working on other cars right next to us, but didn’t offer to help. After trying to read the owners manual for about 5 minutes we decided to just go in and ask. Well apparently we spent too long trying to figure out what the heck was going on….because it had closed 4 minutes earlier.

This is really interesting…

Dominos (btw i haven’t ordered it since college i don’t think, but i might soon) has a deal where one large pizza and “cinna-sticks” are 6 dollars. As a disclaimer they say “limit of 256 per household”. A) where on eath did they come up with that number 2. the pizzas wouldn’t seem very cheap if you spent over $1500 dollars for it C) this would be a great opportunity for maddie and i to try our pizza delivery boat service!

The Soapbox:

well at least i didn’t use a spoon
