This is really interesting…

Played golf at Langdon Farms on Saturday – the one time I played there before was for a golf tournament with AuuuuBeta. I lost about 9 balls that time but it was okay because it was a scramble or something so it didn’t matter that much, besides the fact our team was just horrible. This time I only lost 1ball! I even hit 2 in the water on the same par 5, got both of them back, and saved a 7 – textbook. Looks like I wore the same shirt though.

Current Status…

Going to have to go with a 7 – yesterday was brutal until about 4 PM (stupid, stupid) and then this morning I had to get up and drive to work…from Portland. I basically have no idea what’s going on

This is really interesting…

A guy proposed to his gilfriend at Outback Steakhouse in Eugene on Saturday – i clapped.

Lately I’m thinking…

about having a better update tomorrow

The Soapbox:

Shout out to everyone in portland and extra shout to those who ran the half or full marathon. Also to Fariah who doesn’t read this but none the less has a birthday today and is slowly climbing up the ladder to being old enough to be considered an adult

This is really interesting…

Here is all of us at the ol’ Pengiun (bar stop #6 on the day i believe, if you count the stadium’s full bar). We KILLED it in karaoke on every song except for michael bolton’s “when a man loves a women”. It was a complete train wreck. We tried salvaging it by breaking into “how can we be lovers if we can’t be friends” on our own, and we were doing really well until the lady running it said “nope nope that’s it, only 1 song”. On a side note, look at steph in this picture – probably pouting because they wouldn’t serve her.

This is really interesting…

So steph reminded me last night that we had to go to a breakfast fundraiser at 8 AM this morning. It was at the palace ballroom and after a quick check with steve klitz we realized this wouldn’t be a jeans and t shirt event for ol blade. Usually fundraisers are at night, so at least you can socially drink. Well, not at 8 AM on a thursday, instead of booze we got egg pie…whatever that is. great. Well the fundraiser was actually pretty good, and i guess it should be for how much we ended up “paying” for it….they tricked us. On a side note every single person at work today has wondered why i’m wearing dress pants

Shout out to…

All the veterans on this fine veterans day – we appreciate all that you do! I don’t have very many patriotic pictures….so this one will have to do for now

Lately I’m thinking…

Today is the first day i’m starting to feel back to normal, and it doesn’t hurt that it’s a beautiful sunny day. Still no pictures from the weekend yet, but they’ll arrive soon

This is really interesting…

On Friday in portland we “beep bopped” (as a portlander might say) around downtown for a while. We were in nordstroms or something, joe and i were taking a break on some chairs, and steph starting looking at these leopard boots with the rest of the crew. Right when she started this lady walked around corner wearing a full matching leopard print jump suit – i mean this thing was out of control and was an exact cat match to the boots. Before Joe can point her out steph says “I like these, but you have to be really carefull with leopard print, if it’s too much it looks really trashy”. Everyone then proceeded to immediately scatter in about 8 different directions. nature

This is really interesting…

steph fell asleep in one bar and was refused service in 2 of them. just throwing that out there.

The Soapbox:

4 days later and i honestly can’t wait for MSU-psu 2011  UPDATE: shout out to heather for starting to feel better & getting a couple interviews, one of which being in oregon (somewhere?). Hopefully we can work something out that weekend!

Lately I’m thinking…

This picture (like tanner’s gadget) doesn’t have anything to do with this weekend. It’s a puzzle with deers on it that’s shaped like a deer from tanner’s cabin in seeley lake.

Current Status…

7.2? I’m tired. I didn’t feel like it was safe for me to drive home from portland until about 5:00 last night, but that meant i had to drive in the dark with the back window open because Seeley the dog owns me.

Lately I’m thinking…

I’d love to talk about the trip/game starting tomorrow, but i will say i had an awesome time and thanks to everyone who made the trip. Also thanks to the Klitz’s for hosting everyone!

This is really interesting…

So yesterday when I was leaving I was hungry and decided to get fast food for the car trip. We go to the same burger king almost everytime back from portland, but as i was taking the exit i decided to try taco bell instead. This was completely radical because A) I’ve never once eaten taco bell in the car as a road trip food and B) I’ve only had good taco bell once since moving to seattle, and that was actually in some town on the way back from Crystal Mountain. I don’t know what it is about the seattle ones, but they suck at making tacos. Anyways I ordered my 4 tacos without lettuce and as i left the drive through line randomly grabbed one and starting eating it. DELICIOUS! I couldn’t believe it, i honestly felt like pulling over on the freeway and texting people, i was so happy. I mean after 3 years i got a well made taco. Then i went to grab taco #2 and, WHAT, it was a taco supreme or something with sour cream. So i went for taco #3 and it was a normal taco but with lettuce. Panicked i went for #4 and…there was no #4. What kind of jacked up order did i get? 1 was right and none of them were the same? (sorry this is long). Anyway i actually decided to push my “luck” to the max and went to taco bell again 30 miles later and what do you know – DELICOUS & CORRECT! i have more but i’m going to stop

The Soapbox:

sorry. CATS!

Current Status…

10! Last day of work for the week as we’re hitting the road (ro-ad, rowds) for portland this evening. Figured on the way I might as well stop and pick up Joe and Britt at the airport who are making their 2nd NW trip in a month. I’ll see the rest of you rascals tomorrow. CATS

This is really interesting…

Yesterday Steph got not one, not two, but THREE different car citation responses in the mail from the city of Seattle. I felt like we were playing scratch tickets or something as we opened them up to see what the verdict was. They waived the expired tabs ticket (since we just hadn’t put them on it, my bad), reduced the fine for blocking a cross walk (totally bogus ticket) and kept her speeding ticket where it was at. I’m not dating a criminal or anything, she just had a rough stretch. (but for her complaining about how slow the jeep is, she has over 1 million times more speeding tickets than me with it in Seattle). On a side note, it’s great having steph’s gadget back. It actually makes me more upset that I had to go without it for so long though.

This is really interesting…

They replaced a little glass recycling container at work with a 5 foot tall one. Now it’s pretty much impossible to recycle the bottles of beer that you sneak without alerting everyone with the sound of broken glass. Okay so i obviously don’t sneak bottles of beer, but it’s still loud when you throw stuff in there. And that would be harder in the future if i ever did

I was reading a husky football chat from the blog yesterday, and of course there’s always a lot of speculation/questions about Locker going to the NFL next year. Maybe this guy who wrote in was joking, but for the gadgets sake I’m going to assume he wasn’t (and i wouldn’t put it past anyone on those). Here’s his post: “Bob, I personally don’t know the Lockers, but one of the cousins plays for my youth team and he believes Jake is coming back to the Dawgs next year. Not that 10 year olds are reliable resources, but he is confident.”

The Soapbox:

Have a fun and safe weekend everyone!!! This would be a great weekend to call me and check in if you haven’t in a while…..CATS! (oh p.s. i linked the family reunion page one more time)
